Glad to see you go home safely Cheery....hope the crossing wasn't too choppy!
My, you have been busy Pippi, not unusual though, I admit. Glad the weather has calmed down again, you're right though, I love looking at an angry sea, just so long as I don't have to be out on it!! Hope the cheese making goes well, I made some a couple of years ago, seemed to work pretty well, not sure why I stopped...oh wait, I remember. A case of pancreatitis and complete avoidance of fat in any way stopped me making any more.
Not been on the 'puter since Sunday...at last got started on painting the conservatory :j:j All the wooden roof strutts and windows have been stained, and I have undercoated all of the "Heritage Green" woodwork, in preparation for the "Barley White". But first tomorrow, I will get the "Raspberry Bellini" on the walls...no more "Sunshine Yellow". Can't wait to see it up, hope I like it!
Right off to bed soon, going to decorate in the morning. then make some bread in the afternoon. DS1 and I got inspired after watching "The Great British Bake Off" tonight.
Have a great day tomorrow....look forward to seeing piccies of the puddie cats Pippi

Hey up chaps - cheery nice to see you back, well, not nice to not see you here, but nice to see you here if not up here. Well it made sense to me!
Keiss that sounds like a rainbow! Puddie cat picture going up on blog today I'll link it over on here
Got cuppa in hand, got to work out August earnings from diary - I've decided to add it up each month, give me an idea of 'ok-ness' of earnings and give me a boot up the bum
I've decided I'm going into town later with dd so I'm at home here today, whole lot of house to tidy up and a bit of a rethink in the garden given the winds I think I'm rethinking the borders I've done etc - no point in killing myself if it will be trashed anyway.
First off - banks, and write my list for todayTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

Sorry the borders are constantly getting trashed, Pippi. Enjoy the trip into town - and yes, with the patchworkness of your income, you need to know all the time how much you're earning from what - information is power!
Cheery - I just posted yesterday on my thread about limiting my mse time - what are you limiting, how much? Haven't got to your thread yet, will do now in case you've posted it on there. Glad to see you back!
xxx to all.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hey KC on the scale of things, its not a biggie the garden, I'm just moaning and having a rethink - you're right though money is!
Think cheery's on a 1/2 hour a day limit (insert shreeky face here).................................
Ok earning in August is £331 in money and non-money earning in various kg of tomatoes/cucumbers/courgette and beans/lettuce.
Thats not too bad then is it - not brilliant - I'd like it to be about £500 from patchwork stuff - but 331 is about £10 a day in cash.
However, I've spent over £208 in petrol (budget was £200) and we need to work on that one, although there was a bit of good fun visitor adventures in that too- but I need to carefully watch it, hence only going into town once today at 7pm tonight and I'll probably go into office (well new office as I'm now desk sharing with garden guru guy).
Food budget is almost under limit for this month, which I'm also working on and has been heavily subsidised by Keiss (stripeysock shop and various goodly acts) and the cheeries lovely goodies too.
Thesis is almost out of my hair KC you're right about that, and after that's in the tunnel is a priority. INfact earnings in Aug could pay for the cover...........................must think about that.
Just hearing on radio that scientests might have found a compound coral in austrailia that may lead to tablet form of sun screen protection, how lovely is that. Unless they are hurting the poor coral that is.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Plant earnings of £331! Thats really excellent, Pippi, well done - I'd no idea it was that much, I thought it was mostly cleaning and invigilating.
Cheery's limit is the same as mine for mse then - oops, 4 mins to go ....
The coral ... I *think* they're synthesizing the compound, not trashing the coral, tho obviously they've used some in labs to find the stuff in the first place
Have a good day - I might do another 15 mins at lunchtime, bad me!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
KC sorry you're right, the money this month is mainly invigilating/cleaning/gardening - I'm counting any 'work' money in my patchwork
but I am hoping when I'm finally sorted the plant stuff will be about 350-500 a month................flower power. Have a great morning!
I'm sure they aren't trashing the coral, just interesting, that they have laterally thought about the sun effect on coral and that might help folk protect from the sun. I miss the new scientist, we use to have a subscription, maybe I need that on my wish list. Oh and I need to bring my lab coat home, I can't bear to hand it back, keep looking at it in our office and thinking, will I ever use it again? I'm not sure but I'm oddly attached to it and my mad scientist goggles!
Right now time for a list! Off to find a bit scrap paper!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Flower power indeed! That's a great total from your patchworky stuff :T I'm sure you'll be able to find a use for a mad scientist coat...Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Morning All, how are the onions doing to those I sent them to? I harvested my first one last night and out it in a chicken curry. It was lovely.
