Pippi,
I can understand your worry about little longstockings return, I felt the same when my DD was away for just 5 days with school. She was a bit different ( attitudey) at first & I had to really reign myself in, we were a bit cagey with each other after the initial euphoria at being reunited had worn off ( 10 minutes !) but then it all settle down.
Yours are coming home, not just to the physical place, but to you and all your fabulousness & nurturing & the hub of their world. Give yourselves some time & chance to reacquaint with eachothers personalities, foibles & habits & then it'll be back to school & usual routines.
As to the CCs well, they wont go off now will they so just do what you can, when you can
The joy of MSE is that we all have ups & downs at different times so there's always someone around to lift your spirits for you when you're not able :A

I have displacement activity syndrome today. Should be researching young political activists so why did I find this? No idea but thought about you Pippi.

Know the feeling re the debts, feels never ending sometimes, but you'll get there.
I'm sure the Big Little Longstockings will be very happy to see youDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Hey Pippi, you need some Nina too (see Mrs Moo's diary)
I don't have children but I get that nervous feeling whenever I have people come to stay, I call it "that what if feeling"; as though you've forgotten to do all the things you wanted or needed to do and you're about to be judged for it. When in reality, the one judging you the most harshly is you.
And I know what you mean about the debt. I am always worse just after I have paid what feels like a big amount to me, because it doesn't go as far as I want it to as quickly as I want it to.I remember using this quote on my diary: Though pateince be a tired mare, yet she will plod - Shakespeare. I guess that's how we all feel about it! We are getting there - we just all like to get there faster!
It will come together, but today you need to breath deeply, smile and make the most of the peace you have just now - the rest will work itself out.Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Thanks guys for all the lovely words. Always nice to find a lovely load of voices, leading the way, talking sense and comforting, much appreciated. On da boat, free wifi don't you know!
Hope everything settles soon and I get a decent nap

Decent nap gained, first 'on the boat looking out the window impression' is, wow tall buildings, we have a few 3-4 story buildings at home, but none really tall
Morning all, can't multiquore so I'll attempt to reply.
Lula that really struck a chord with me, you're right, it's the attitude change I find hard, six weeks at dads, has a real affect on them both, I can't quite explain So youre right, I guess we all take a while to adjust back we adjust back. As for the debt thing, you chip away, life costs, you frugal-buglise, you chip away. It's really like one step forwards, one a bit back. Thanks, despite all the time on here I often forget it's a hard slog but we are all going through it :-) xxx your post really touched me thank you
Mrsmoo- lots of brilliant things there, love that blog, thank you very much I like the busy house, dd likes the bustle of Six (!) kids at her dads, ds loves the peace here, we all adjust I guess.
The carbon foot print I'm battling against for this family, is crazy, but I guess sky ping is at least more neutral.
The shopping, arch, it's the physical wandering and addictive bargain hunting I love, think it comes from the 10 years I spent on the west islands with no supermarket. Your ideas a good one :-)
Another I had was perhaps placing a budget on a gift card (mr t) for the bargains and giving myself a 'reduced shopping' strict budget. Ive got into a habit of bargain hunting, I really (probably sadly) really enjoy it, but I'll be in town less soon, and I only o when in town, so it should curtail. No, really it will, but I do need to wean myself!
Moo, peedie sends you a slobbery kissand lobs a bone over xxxx thanks angel
Red, big little stockings, brilliant. Yeah debts, bah, I do an Italian gesture at them, like a mad cross driver in Milan when cut across by tourists! Ta lady, hope the application went well.
Nic thank you lots of brilliant stuff in that. To be honest though, I think peace and quiet is highly overratedI like bustle and noise, but you're right, 'it will be what it will be' (orcadian phrase) xx
Mrsmoo, how you'll laugh, instead of researching polytunnel covers, I spent ages looking through wild flower pictures I took last week for my blog, then got sucked into looking at pictures (of the Sam plants) on the western isles - at least I blogged I guess, always on the list to keep chirpy.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Yes, I ended up looking at old photos yesterday - resulting in Moo blogging too.
Great news and frugalising on the train. Must check Cross Country for my little trip to Luton next month. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar.
