    Hi all
Nice day here for once, no rain but a heavy dew this morning.
I let the dog out and 7am this morning and suddenly thought, 'it feels autumnal' and yet it's still ,only August.
I've got a lot of confused plants, some of the azaleas and Rhodedendrons have a couple of flowers on them.My spring flowering clematis which I cut back have regrown and are flowering and some stuff seems to be going over early. All very strange.
Is anyone else experiencing the same thing.

Definate autumal nip here too. Our old scented roses are putting out a third flush of flowers and we have a family of blackbirds still feeding some fledglings. Lawn coverd in autumnal fairy rings and lane covered in blackberries but still need to cut the grass and do a bit of strimming - all very confusing :)

Hey Pippi, being a *recovering* catholic myself I fully understand what you mean about catholic funerals. We had a full mass for my Dad (his brothers and sisters are devout) and I am sure he would have been very amused as he never went to church (even though we were sent). Although he seemed to find some faith in the last months of his life. I have been to a quaker funeral which, at first, I found quite uncomfortable. The coffin was in the middle of the hall and everybody sat around it in a circle in complete silence (to remember) and then one by one people started to stand and recount tales of Stephanie's life, say a poem that she loved or tell of a time that she had helped somebody. It was the most moving funeral I have ever been to and so personal. A lovely way to remember.

Glad you are having a cheery cuppa kind of a day.

Hope you and the Cheeries have had a great beach and Tea Room day :D I am sure they will be worthy surrogate parents for Peedie too :T

Cheri - Love the sound of the Quaker Funeral, that is what I think they should be.
