Downloading cc statements to see exactly what my spends are re petrol and food - I appear to be living in cloud cuckoo land re my budgets.

Hey chaps, nice chat on here
lula don't worry, I'm not much of a hostess.................:)
Bit glumsome today, not sure why, think keep looking at the cards and thinking ergh, so much to pay off, guess by this time of the summer I'd figured I'd paid more iyswim. Checked both food spends and petrol etc, I'm not going too much over budget but I might need to reign that in slightly, I think I do need a storecupboard week or two..............
I get nervous before the little longstockings come back I think, not sure why, I mean I know I like them, they like me, but its a bit nervous, oh what will have changed etc - its a life changing period (teenage years) of their lives........................will be nice to see them. I worry about them coming home here to such a quiet house.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Oh dear Pippi, so much to worry about. Ok, think clearly............. a quiet house indeed. I think that you should see it more as a calm place. It is far from quiet when the three of you (and Mr Flowers too) are all there together, making music, chasing chucks, gaming, cooking, fancying up tables, riding on mowers. You give them so much to look forward to. I reckon that they will be looking forward to getting back to a regular routine (even if they dont know it).
From what you say I reckon that you could live on those storecupboards for a month of Sundays. So why not play a game with yourself. Use the storecupboards and fridge as the shop. Write a menu plan - go to the stores and shop. Charge yourself for what you have bought and put the amount into a book (or cash into pig if you prefer). That way you will feel like you are shopping without actually doing that.
I am worrying about a few things lately and seem to be in the worry spiral. Need to change my mindset too.
Big hugs from Moo and a massive flobberdy kiss to peedie (you need to share life with a dane to understand the flobberdy). By the way I just found him curled up on my fluffy rug in the bedroom where he is not allowedSome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar.
