the injunction is freely available as others have posted and vital in this case, i assume that he is joint owner of the house and business and therefore in law has the right to enter the property. unless he is actively being threatening at the point of return, he will not be removed by the police

it would be odd for the cps to have decided not to go any further and i wonder if you are not being told the whole story

Been a DV victim myself, and i felt the police did nothing, well actually they didn't, whilst in the papers for being the frist fir DV in the south west, I made a complaint to the chief officer at the station, end of the day didn't get much help, especially when the police that came said oh it's just a domestic.

Several times i asked for an injunction, what angered me is no one told me how to do it.

Eventually i was told i just needed to see a solicitor, I did and had an injunction for a year, that even 10 years later the ex stuck to.

mind you the lies he said in court, he was caught out and injunction in place, he knew to keep away and grow a pair.

if this is as bad as it is, i would make the suggestion to contact all pet owners to collect their pets and close it down for her to get away for a bit, yes ok i know they will loose money, possibly the business, but if she needs help and needs to get away....

I know she just can't walk, but the pets need to be back home, or to alternative border and all pet owners informed, they will want to know their pets are safe and well.

I would be (as a pet owner) concerned for the welfare of my pet with a nasty peice of work like that hanging around. Is he likely to turn on the animals?

This was my concern also. If the kennel was in my area I would be willing to volunteer my help. I don't know where you're based but I am in the South East. OP you are welcome to PM me if you think this would help.

Sorry for this, a bit off thread but related.
I dont know whether to offer support to someone who says she tripped and put her hands up to 2save her face?. i always thought it was an automatic reflex to put your arms out to break a fall?
She has had a black eye in the past and I think I smell a too elaborate cover up story...but could it be true?

I re-read the OP, attack was five weeks ago. Not sure whether a non-mol would be granted then considering he hasn't returned.

As to the cancelling phone etc, my bills had to be paid by the ex pending court case. They were in his sole name but he managed to have them put into mine, so it can be done.

:huh::huh::huh::huh: I have no idea what the above is about but if you don't wish to offer support you are under no obligation to!

However, I actually saw her smashed up and swollen face the morning after the attack - it looked like he had used her as a punchbag - and no-one, but no-one, deserves that. I nearly burst into tears when I saw her!

So what if she has covered it up in the past? She isn't the first, and certainly won't be the last. Fact is, this is the time she finally reached out for some help - would you deny her that? I certainly can't.

I have passed on all the information gleaned last night - many thanks to everyone. She has a solicitors appointment tomorrow. She says she hasn't done anything since the attack because she genuinely believed (a view also held by the attending officers) that he would be sentenced.

Personally, I feel she is not moving quickly enough on this - but it is not my place to say so. I can only keep passing on any relevant helpful information and hope she can sort things out for herself.

It's a difficult one Frugalista, as I know from experience. "The horse backed me into the stable door." Me knowing full well that her H gave her the black eye. We just have to wait until they have had enough, which it now seems she has.

You being her employee makes the situation even more sensitive. Please tread carefully, as if she succumbs to his pleadings and gives him yet another chance, it will be you who's the baddie.

I didn't understand Arty's post either. Whether you shouldn't offer support?
Anyway, she has the sol's appointment and you did well in difficult circumstances.

    I would offer support.

Not that odd? They drop a lot of cases based on not enough evidence.

The person will not get a panic alarm unless they are high risk - high risk means at high risk of being murdered, not of being assaulted again.
