Sunny Monday morning.....
Up bright and early, dog walked, lunch made, good sleep behind me.... moving on
Week 2 of manager being away and getting on with things my way. Young male colleague is still off (back tomorrow) so I am on my lonesome in the office. No problem! As long as someone covers my lunch break so MrT can have his midday walk, all is well.
The Fatty family have been relatively quiet. A few hours of tumble drying on Friday night and a row between Mr and Mrs last night starting at 11pm - but otherwise all is well
Went to do a mystery shop yesterday - only to find that the store did not stock/sell the appliance that the assignment wanted! You would have thought they would have checked that out beforehand wouldn't you? I ended up talking waffle to a pre-pubescent youth for 25 minutes!! Mind you, it gave me a chance to look at some new TV's - I am still in two minds whether to get a new one or have the old one repaired. I am getting used to watching the small set - even managed to watch a footie match yesterday without going cross eyed
Cleaned, washed clothes, car and tidied garden yesterday. All ready for the week ahead now. Nothing really on the agenda other than work - next week things start getting a bit busier - HA meeting to prepare for and another that I can't attend as manager will still be away and I can't leave the office. No sweat... not too important and I can catch up in September.
Haircut this weekend - I have treated myself to some hair straighteners and it is very weird seeing my hair flat and in an orderly fashion - It is usually big, curly and doing its own thing.... a nice change though.
Not too much to tell... quiet on the board too, I notice. Definitely holiday time...
Hugs

Well done on haircut and hair straighteners. I love mine.
If i was trapped on a desert island i would take a toothbrush, toothpaste, knickers and a plug socket and some hairstraightners. I would be happy eating coconuts. (but i would miss bacon sandwiches after a while).Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
I've never quite understood hair straighteners. It seems to me that people with curly hair want to straighten it, and people with straight hair want to make it curly. Do you have to use them every day?
SA, did MrT get his walk yesterday? He won't know himself when you are closer and can take him out for longer (or are you keeping that quiet so you can have a bit of time to yourself at lunchtime?).
SW, I love your list of desert island essentials!"Green pastures are before me,

I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0 -
Morning all, I use mine every two days when i am at work. In the hols i have only used them a few times. My hair is so messy otherwise.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

Heck, I am slacking again...
Be careful what you wish for, and all that! Full time working seems to be taking its toll, just until I get organised and into a routine, i am sure. I feel great, really positive and nothing is getting neglected (except MSE) but I just feel that time is slipping away from me.
Wordsmith - the great thing about hair straighteners on my hair is that I can wash and dry it at the weekend and then, using straighteners, it will last for a good few days and still look good. If i leave it "au naturel" it just gets bigger and frizzier every day and I end up using all manner of products and appliances on it. Haircut on Saturday so it will be back under control.
Work is good - young male colleague is back and we are working well together and it is running beautifully. I think people are realising that perhaps changes need to be made and if the regime is relaxed a bit then people become a lot happier with the workplace
I still can't wait to move though - not long now.
MrT is marvellous - we are getting some lovely long walks under our belts in the evening - when the weather is usually at its best. I could stay out for hours, love it! He is so good when I leave him to go to work, he just toddles off with his bit of pigs ear and then waits for me to get home. When I think back to the neurotic, mixed up little specimen of a couple of years ago it is hard to believe that he is the same animal. Perhaps someone switched him on me?
MrsF has started tumble drying at night again. I thought it was going to be a quiet one last night but it started at 9.20pm. I went ballistic and shouted out "Turn it off" - it went quiet after a few minutes. I just wont have any more of their nonsense. Once more and I will start firing off emails in all directions. Blimmin woman!
Off to walk aforementioned canine - I will try and catch up with you all while I am at work.
Speak soon, have a good day all.
Hugs

Hooray you sound so positive. Yay for you.
Can't wait till the new job starts and am glad all is calm there now.
Mr T is so lucky. I would never eat a pig's ear though.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
I too am excited about you starting a new job! I love new starts, even other people's. And MrT is very lucky to have you. My hound would like an owner like you - unfortunately for her, she's stuck with me. Well done you for holding your own agains the F-family. Think how you were feeling a couple of weeks ago! Just goes to show, don't it?"Green pastures are before me,

Well done on trying to keep the Fatties under control. I too am looking forward to you starting your new job, I need to find one of my own now.
As for MrT and his pigs ears..I can see where he is coming from (not that I have ever sucked on a pigs ear you understand), there is nothing like a good old chew and suck and I know that friends' dogs just love them.
My chum is still having problems with Miss Crystal Meth and her boyfriend - the other day he was flinging rubber gloves smeared with dog poo across the fence at my chum which she promptly flung back. The guy got quite angry and threatened her and accused her of sending her dog to poop in their yard, unfortunately my chum's dog passed away last year so the poo definitely didnt come from her. The police have been informed about the assault with dog poo and the threats. I am so glad that I don't like near her.
My own neighbours are not bad now (we just need to be rid of the cannabis smoking cat woman). The chap that lives next door repaired my lamp the other day for no charge because he knows that I am skint and anyway I helped him and his wife when they moved in.
Hope you have a great day today.0 -
Oh Horace what dreadful people. You are a very strong person. Glad the nice neighbours sorted your lamp for you.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220
