I hope dentist goes smoothly.
I have been up most of the night worried about my parents who live in Birmingham. Rioting happened close by and they dont have the internet. Scary times.
I am taking my friend out to lunch today as she hasn't been well. I just spoke to my dr who says I am definitely anaemic and that is why i have been tired. Hooray. I will be better soon. So glad it isn't anything more complex!!! In one month i will be much better and will have energy again.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

Aha, thought you'd slip this in without me noticing, did ya?
Could you compromise and have a cheaper week away closer to home (because you do need to get away for a break somewhere) - staying in a B&B (one that allows dogs, obviously), or with a friend (one that allows dogs, obviously), and spend the rest of the money you have saved on things that will give you pleasure longer term, such as a TV.
Work sounds good at the moment - boring is better than everyone being on tenterhooks."Green pastures are before me,

I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0 -

It is such a worry when you can't get hold of parents, SW - even though you know they will be OK, you still need to have that contact, don't you?
Enjoy your lunch, SW. Thank goodness you have found out why you haven't been feeling well, and you can get it sorted. Excellent news. As is the new freezer - I am most jealous, as I don't have any room for a freezer. Mind you, it is a brilliant excuse for not having to batch cook."Green pastures are before me,

Mum and dad are fine. I used the internet to let them know which local parts were affected. Basically they were planning to go to the bank and shopping and both of those destinations were looted yesterday so i told them to stay in.
I am so glad i live somewhere safe.
I am going out for a meal in Gunwharf so i had better get ready. Have a good day people.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Morning guys,
sw - I am sorry that you have this worry about your parents. It must be horrid for anyone living close to these troubles. Mindless idiots - I am sure most of them don't even know why they are doing it.... the power of momentum.
Wordsmith - I bought the freezer with good intentions of batch cooking but I VERY rarely do any. It is more for taking advantage of offers and having somewhere to store it that saves me most money. I always have a loaf of bread and a pint of milk as well. Worth its weight in gold.
It is pouring with rain - MrT has managed a "wee" walk but I doubt he will venture out for an "exercise" walk. We will see. At least I will be home a couple of hours earlier today - dentist is early afternoon and then I will take the rest of the day off.
Young male colleague is treating himself to a long weekend away and taking Friday and Monday off - should give me a bit of work to do, being on my own.
Going away - I think it is almost certainly not going to happen. My sensible head is functioning but I will go away early next year - for 2 weeks. Ex's birthday is in early Feb and I will probably go out for then. Anything else doesn't really appeal and most definitely NOT a break with MrT - I am trying to get away from him for a bitHe is like a spoilt child and very demanding. A bit of peace and quiet would be wonderful.... and a few rum and cokes, of course!
Work in the new office will be extremely busy in Nov and Dec leading up to Christmas and Feb will be here before I know it....
I will probably take a few days off and pimp up my flat a bit.....
So... all is well in SA world. Let us hope and pray that this madness sweeping through our cities comes to an end very soon.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs

 birthday = present = expense + birthday kiss = more heartache
I won't say another word. But you know where we are.startagain wrote: »... and most definitely NOT a break with MrT
OK, I understand this. Enjoy the winter months planning for the trip away.startagain wrote: »So... all is well in SA world.
Good. That is very good indeed."Green pastures are before me,

SA go by all means but not close to his birthday. It will be too emotional for you and you will be drawn in. He sounds like a manipulative user this is the perfect opportunity for him to start all over again.
You deserve someone far better.
Have a good day. My freezer arrives today. Am happy.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Well, smack my wrist - I didn't post anything yesterday. Dreadful.... I am working full time and then walking MrT for a couple of hours and the time just seems to slip away. I have also been cooking my tea every evening and that can be a bit time consuming. Tasty though
So..... Wednesday saw me going to my dentist in the afternoon to repair a broken tooth. Luckily I was due to see her later this month for my normal check up so I bought that forward and got it all done in one go. Very straightforward - just a very numb face for a few hours and a £47 hole in my bank account.... hey ho.
Then.... MrT and his horrid nails! He has "curlers" - they grow around and not down. One of this dew claws had grown in a complete circle and in the space of 2 days had started embedding itself into his skin. So..... off we go to the vet, who luckily had a free appointment late on Wednesday. So, with swollen, numb face and great trepidation off we go - on foot, to try and wear him out a bit first. Well, we were all ready - me, vet, a nurse and a muzzle and he was fine!!!! After 2 years, we have finally turned a corner. He still had the muzzle on, but no growling and she just lopped the nail off, no bother. The best £12 I have spent in a long time. Everyone was so pleased as he has been a real monster in the past and we so wanted him to improve. Off he toddled afterwards and we finished our walk with big smiles on our faces, mine from relief and his from comfort!
Work has been fine - I am getting on well with young male colleague. The office is running calmly and efficiently.
He is taking a couple of days off and going away for the weekend. My present job has been advertised, closing date in 7 days, interviews the week after with an immediate start for the succesful candidate. Hooray - the very latest I am moving offices is 12th September but could be 30th Aug or, more likely, 5th September. Can't wait.
One of my mystery shops has been refused for last month and the company are not going to pay me for it. I am livid - they are "disputing" my comments - well stuff them. After they pay me this month I am signing off - I am sick of eating the fast food anyway and the places are always so grotty... No loss. My new job and saving on petrol will more than make up for anything I earn from them and they are always late with payments - one of my pet hates.
Fairly skint at the moment with the dentist and vet all in one week. I am also putting petrol in my car every week, only £10 - £15 but it all adds up. I am looking forward to parking it up and walking to and from work. I will keep the car though for HA business - public transport would take me over 2 hours to get to Head Office. They pay me expenses so I will not be out of pocket.
Not too much more to say. Off to sorting office to collect parcel. MrT does love an errand, shame it is pouring with rainNow... leaky wellies or leaky trainers... decisions, decisions!
Hugs

Won't be long now, SA - fresh job, fresh start - very exciting. I'm glad your tooth is sorted, and MrT's nails. Mr girl is usually pretty good at the vet, even though she tries escaping when she knows she's going. The vet put a muzzle on her once, when he was about to stick his finger up her bum and he thought she wouldn't like it (really?) - I was at her head trying to say soothing things (as if that would make a finger up the bum any more bearable) and she managed to curl her tongue around the muzzle and lick my face. I could have wept.
Hope your feet keep dry."Green pastures are before me,

I am so glad the weekend is here. It has been a really good week at work - so calm and straightforward. I always knew that it would be if a "certain influence" was removed. A lot of people are noticing the change and remarking on how well it is going! I am really pleased.
I like being there every day as well, rather than part time - it means that I can keep up to speed with everything and not have to wait to resolve issues. Lots of good feedback from customers. Just like it was in my old job.... a real confidence boost
Well, my last online supermarket shop has now lasted 3 weeks and will do another week as well. Not bad for £50 - I got free delivery and it included MrT's food as well. I have now been given free delivery for the next shop - lots of pennies saved. I am actually wondering if this is something to do with the ruckus I kicked up over A's "double payment" issue earlier in the year. Perhaps my account has been earmarked? Who knows - but I like the free delivery offers.
I only have to buy the odd bit of milk or veg... and pigs ears!!
MrsF decided to do a bit of washing and drying last night.... 5 hours from 6 until 11 to be precise - I will allow her the one off but if she starts over the weekend I have got my battle head on
A quiet weekend lays ahead - I have got a last minute mystery shop to do (not for the bad paying company) but it wont take too long... and then just a couple of days relaxing with MrT. Luverly!
Speak soon
Hugs
