Coming out of lurkdom to say I'm so glad I found your new diary, as I was sad when you stopped your first one: *subscribed*. Sounds like things are on the up, jobwise. I wish my doggie didn't want to go out when it was raining, sigh. Satchmo xWhat would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

I have tried parking my car at the end of a forest path and telling my mutt to take herself for a walk. She looks at me with great reproach and won't budge until I go too ... then she totally ignores me for the rest of the walk."Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0 -
The rain stopped enough for MrT and I to venture out. The ducks are fed, the dog is walked and is now snoring in his bed and I am taking a breather for a cuppa and read the paper. Deep joy!

The sun is now out - I havent been out yet, sorted out a bag for tomorrow because I had kind of forgotten that I was going for a stroll and some lunch...have had to raid the £2 jar for cash. One of my chums has asked for a lift and I have to go out of my way to pick her up so hopefully I can get some petrol money. (she is not a chum I see regularly, we know each other from meetup).
On a good note today, I had a letter from the Co-op congratulating me on banking with them for 12 months and paying me a £25 loyalty bonus:money::j0 -
Good morning everyone..
More rain overnight but it is dry now. I don't hold out hope for it being for too long though and I think it is going to be a day indoors apart from a trip to Matalan to see if there is a cheap dress that I can use for my upcoming interviews and HA business. Ther is something about wearing a new piece of clothing that seems to pep me up and I want to create a good impression.
I forget sometimes that I have legs and tend to spend most of the time in jeans, and trousers for work.
Confession time - I treated myself to a bottle of gin in the supermarket on Friday (buying it, not drinking it) - there is nothing quite like a gin and tonic after a days work. Anyway, I drank two last night and fell asleep from 9.15 until midnight! Then I stayed up and watched young Mr McIlroy conquering the course at the US golf until 1.00am. Brilliant! I still managed to sleep afterwards and have woken up without a hangover.
MrT however, even without gin has woken up kernackered and has gone back to bed, where he is snoring his head off....
There is a vacancy coming up on the Board of my HA for a Tenant member and I have decided to apply. I have already had the training day that applicants are required to take (I applied once before) and so I just need to submit an application form. I don't mind if I am not successful as I still attend most of the meetings anyway. Not sure how, but I seem to get all the invites. This would make it official, though.
Horace - A £25 bonus for being with the Co-op for a year? I didn't get anything for 1,2 or 3 yearsI still think they are very good though and certainly were invaluable when I was going through BR. Very simple and straightforward to deal with. I can't praise them enough.
I think I am going to get a prescription prepayment certificate this week. I am having to take an increasing amount of medication as the years go by and at £7.40 an item it is getting more and more expensive. My local pharmacist has mentioned it a couple of times and I can see it makes sense now. I am just getting so organised, these days....
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs

SA - yes I did get a bonus from the Co-op - I have a business account with them via the FSB.
I went for the walk today and could have had a longer lie in as the friend who badgered me yesterday for a lift, cried off this morning..sigh. Still it was a good work just over 6 miles and we stopped for lunch - not at the pub we were originally going to visit but another one who happened to have a roaring log fire burning - even though they were fully booked for lunch they asked cheffy if he would mind preparing another 8 meals which we ate outside in the garden. Silly me left my water bottle on the side at home but a kindly person had a bottle of apple lucozade in the boot of her car (she keeps a stash in there and I was allowed to have a bottle). I didnt get left behind either which was a bonus.
Back at home now doing some work ready for tomorrow's meeting. I am off out tomorrow night too for a Ladies who Latte meeting but i know that I shall get a free shoulder massage and makeover from Clarins and that I will have coffee and cake - it is costing me £10.
Could curse the fact that I listened to my dumb accountant last year because I was given some duff advice about my working tax credits so that instead of £51 a week, I have been getting £24 a week - no wonder I have been getting in a pickle.
Could just eat some chocolate - I fancy a bar of dairy milk (I have a bar of green & blacks dark with cherries already)0 -
Good morning diary and Good morning to everyone..
I made it to Matalan yesterday and bought a very nice grey, classic dress that will look just the part for an interview. It was only £18 and with the £5 off voucher from the paper I got some flat pumps as well. Bargain!
I have bought the prescription prepayment certificate online and I have got 2 items to pick up today so it has half paid for itself already. Brilliant. I will have to pay for them as I wont have the certificate for a few days but you send the receipt off and it gets refunded.
I did a bit of work yesterday and then watched True Grit. It was really good - everything the critics said, I agreed with. Excellent film. Now I just want to get round to watching the ballet one (can't remember it's name - Black Swan?) just got to find the time.
Off to work now - have a good day everyone and I hope it doesn't rain too much where you are.

Afternoon peeps - did it rain today? I have been up since 5am and not seen any rain.
Made a boob this morning - firstly I managed to pour hot tea down a white skirt as I was trying to fill up a mug:mad: The skirt was clean on this morning too. Then someone noticed at the end of the meeting that I had put the wrong date on the attendee list.
Things not going well today, not many booked in for breakfast tomorrow, however more are booked for next week at 5 july. Am off out in a mo to visit my client because I need to pick up my new business cards that were delivered to his office today (I never know when UPS are delivering so it was easier to use the office address). I am off networking later with Ladies That Latte - will have coffee and cake and a free shoulder massage and makeover
Oh jeepers is that the time? .....rushes out as need to be at clients at 5pm0 -
"Ladies That Latte - will have coffee and cake and a free shoulder massage and makeover"
Trying to get my head round this Horace - I don't think I have got anything to say, I am speechless. I hope it was very enjoyable, nonetheless!
Updates, updates....
Work was OK - I feel that my manager is gritting her teeth in trying to be nice to mebut she has obviously been told that she has to be very careful.
I have an interview at the end of the week for the better of the two vacancies that I applied for. Fingers crossed.
I have had an email from ex boss re the job abroad - he is meeting up with other bigwigs next week and will let me know the score after that. I might need to brush up my Spanish..... how exciting!
Friend arriving tomorrow from "the place where I used to live and love" across the pond, and has emailed asking if we can meet up? I am going to play it by ear and see if I am even available. I could be winging my way to Europe for a job interview. Crikey, I thought the giddy days were over - it seems not
Not staying too long, I was up very early this morning and am flagging already. Off to cook some tea and then catch up on a bit of Wimbledon.
Hugs

It's raining and has been raining since last night - good for the garden, not good for my dog walking schedule. I persuaded MrT to accompany me this morning and just about managed to get some co-operation. Little tyke!
The HR manager is coming to our site today, I suspect it is to brief my manager on my probation meeting tomorrow. With the upcoming interview I am not too worried about anything at the moment, it all seems to be heading the right way to a mutually successful outcome. Well, I hope so anyway...
Friend arrives today from "over the pond" and I expect I will get a phone call today. At least I can cry off for this week as I am working and have got things planned for the end of the week. Next week, who knows what is ahead with the tentative job talks that have been suggested.
My garden looks super after the good soaking of the last couple of days. I have planted some pampass grass this year and it is growing well alongside some bamboo that I planted last year. My new little hedge is coming along and my little "meadow" area is flourishing. MrT likes to sniffle around in there. Not quite what I had planned for it, but who cares?
I can't believe the difference in my eyes since I started taking hay fever tablets this month. I really thought my eyes were strained and in need of stronger glasses, but it turns out to be hay fever and one tiny little pill a day has got it all under control. Unlike young male colleague who sneezes and sniffles through the day, without tissues - Yuk! He says he takes pills for it, but I doubt it somehow. If he does, they aint working! Added to his smokers cough - wonderful
Wimbledon was good yesterday - that nice young man, Rafael Nadal was as watchable as everand then the ups and downs of a Murray match to follow. He doesn't like to do it the easy way, does he? Through to the second round though.
Off to shower and get ready for work. Have a good day everyone, wherever you all are. savingwannabe, where are you? I am used to the others dipping in and out but you are normally always about?
Speak soon
