  • Hello All, tired tonight. Not ironed my shirt for tomorrow yet and waiting for SS to come in so I can switch the cars round. OH is wading through a mountain of paperwork (that means me) to try and get his wages and holiday pay back, every day he has yet more forms to fill out.

Work today there was a heated difference of opinion between 2 colleagues. I was caught in the middle of it. Not pleasant. I was very glad to get home. Dinner was more YS stuff (I haven't made a dent in the freezer stocks!).

Picked up a few Dove items tonight in Mr M's to put away for christmas presents, they have a lot of items at £1.32 and Pantene for £1.50. My jars arrived as well! They are lovely hexagonal jars which I will put my home grown dried herbs and chillis in to. Just trying to work out who would appreciate something like that as a gift.

Still sneezing, I just cannot shift this cold. Weight wise, my weight hasn't moved yet my watch is now loose, trousers are looser and my belt could go up a notch. I'm assuming its because I'm walking more (commuting) and eating a little less (trying to stop having chocolate every day :EasterBun, which doesn't always work!).

Lots of (((((Hugs))))) Unix, sounds like you're have a difficult time of it at the moment, both at home and work. Hope things get resolved soon.

Well done on the weight loss. :T All this extra walking is building up muscle, and although you are probably losing fat too, as muscle weighs more, you will be getting thinner without necessarily losing much weight. A great result though!!

Hope you are feeling better soon, and that the hospital gets its finger out..Take care x

  • Thanks Keiss I watched food hospital tonight and now the tests the hospital have done make sense (rheumatoid arthritis), in the programme they changed the lady's diet and it helped. I'm wondering if changing my diet and cutting down the red meat I eat and eat more fish will help? I'm facing a few months wait for the rest of the tests.

SS is home and moaning about taking OH back to see the (new)agency. I told him to stop moaning it needs to be done and he wouldn't like it if it happened to him. I also said he'd expect help, when he said no I reminded him of the help he got with his last job and this one he has. Funnily enough he shut up.

Heading off to bed. Night night all.

hi, well done for putting SS in his place, couldn't happen to a better person.
Hope you have a better day at work and don't get caught up in anymore fireworks.
  • Came home to a pile of rubble dumped half way across my driveway. next door is getting their driveway monoblocked. Now they could have put tarpaulin down on their lawn (no pavements here) and then they wouldn't have blocked any driveways. But no, I'm fuming.. I have a right to be able to park in my own driveway and get back out of it easily.

  • Next door's driveway is finished but we have building debris and junk dumped in the road outside her house. This makes it (still) difficult getting the cars in and out. Saw her last night but she had her hood up and had an overnight bag and in a hurry. Our drive is a mess with all the muck, dirt and dust from the work being done and we think hers is encroaching on our land. Really I can't be bothered with it.

Was hoping to get a long lie this morning but OH had his overtime cancelled. Went to town to go to bank, pick up a waterproof over coat for the commute to work and run some other errands.

The jacket I picked up (after being in 3 shops) is better than I had hoped for but is a much bigger size than I wanted to get but it is an overcoat I suppose and needs to be big enough to go over my suit for work. I could have gotten away with one size down but they didn't have that (we'd gone to the outlet store so what they have out is what they have). I was looking for a solely waterproof jacket, but this one is mesh lined and actually quite warm and has a hood which means I don't have to fight with an umbrella whilst trying to get on a busy train (and then have the wet brolly dripping on my leg as I haven't got room to move as the train is packed). The jacket was supposed to be £140, I got it for £45.

Also got another bargain today, I use No7 Protect and perfect Intense and my local (small) Boots was selling off all the ones in the old packaging. I saved 60%! So I have bought a few. Bad I know but I will use the stuff.

Now for the bad news OH lost his bank card whilst we were out. We don't know where but this wouldn't be the first time he's put his hand in his pocket and not realised he's pulled out his bank card. SS is away for the night and he knows we're not speaking to him (over the car thing).

Update: we found OH's bank card on the monoblock outside the house! I'm very surprised no one picked it up!

Still trying to settle with new job. The friend I've made leaves this Fri to go to another placement. I know that's the nature of temp work but still. As for debt slaying I've not done much really the past few days. I need to get back into the swing of things. Even if its just little payments. Beast will be getting a cash injection but that's just to pay what I've used recently. The cashback is building up and i'm guessing I'l average £7 a month cashback.
