    Thanks guys.

First day was good but I am seriously knackered. I can barely stay awake. Up at 5:30 tomorrow to get the train. Proper update soon. Hope everyone is good. Can't wait for my first pay (next friday which is our wedding anniversary).

After a fight with paperwork, and I still have to do my expenses. I am seriously knackered. I wore the alice band and after day 2 took it out when I got home and now cant find it!

The exercise (about a mile to the station) is doing me good but I have found out just how seriously unfit I am. By time I get to the train I look like I've done a serious aerobics workout.

Can't wait for first pay. OH got new price for getting his eyes lasered (he needs the lens replaced!) its now half what it was at around £5000. This is his incentive to stop smoking. Anyone else had their eyes lasered?

    How is everyone?

I think it will Lucielle. We went to see them about it and they have to replace the lens in his eyes . Seems quite drastic and we googled the procedure _pale_, its very drastic. Can't believe how quickly the weekend has gone and back to work tomorrow. SS has taken the week off, why I don't know as he has no plans and supposedly no money (OH checked his account and he had £36 on friday). He's done this before and taken the week before he gets paid off. Mentioned it to OH. Considering he's clearing roughly £1200 and you knnow the pitance he pays in digs. He pays £400 a month for his car and is claiming he's skint all the time. When I first bought my house (2000), I was earning about that and paying out mortgage, car payment and all relevant bills and still had money to go out (not a lot but still). So why is he so strapped for cash. He was niggling OH for £5 that OH borrowed off him the other day.

Sorry, been awol for a bit, glad you are enjoying your work Unix...if not the walk to it!! As you say, it's good for you and you will notice the difference soon enough. I need to get more walking done too...but always seem to have so much else to do instead!! :o

Good luck with the laser surgery, DS1 would love to be able to afford it...once he stops being a student, then perhaps!!

As for SS...don't fret over him...but also don't give into his requests for money....especially as he is earning loads.

Have a great weekend...working tomorrow unexpectedly, but I do love it, so not too worried, and more pennies for the coffers always welcome!!
    :D

Hello All, first pay yesterday and got a little more than expected due to a tax rebate. OH and I went out for our anniversary (my treat) and went for a really nice meal.....the calories definitely didn't get counted yesterday! OH got me a Nono hair removal system (more about that in a moment). Still got paperwork for this week to submit and yes its a pain they (processing company) take 12% but after speaking to some colleagues who get accountants to do theirs as self employed they get charged the same or more! With this processing company I am classed as an employee with them and am entitled to sick pay and smp (which hopefully I'll need at some point) and once I've been with them 2 weeks I get a discount with various shops including supermarkets (5%) which is the same deal I got with my last employer. Yes, its not ideal being paid weekly but as long as I'm careful I'll be ok.

I treated myself today to moisturiser, serum and cleanser (since I got paid). It was 3 for 2. OH says I should have gotten another moisturiser but as I've only just started one I didn't want to have too many in stock so to speak and I needed cleanser.

As I mentioned above OH got me Nono for my anniversary present. Not romantic but I suffer quite badly from hair on my chin and neck. I have badly marked my skin from using tweezers. I had read a lot of negative reviews about it but I'm wondering if they didn't persevere with this, its not a quick fix and it takes a bit of getting used to. Its completely removed the hairs on my arms in one go but the hair on my face is coarser so think it will take time before its completely clear. No this item isn't cheap but when I think how much I have spent in money over the years on razors, waxing, sugaring etc as well as the time I've spent on it I'll be happy to give this a go.

Was in shock yesterday, SS bought us an anniversary card!!!!. His behaviour is still the same and I went through him on monday night (1:30AM!!!!!) he was off for the week and decides to watch police chase programs on the tv in the living room which is directly below my room. I wasn't happy being woken up as I was due up at 5:30 for work. Needless to say he's stayed out of my way for the rest of the week.

Paperwork done for the week and the missing alice band turned up in the middle of the bedroom floor! I looked everywhere for it, why did it just suddenly reappear now?
