hi Uni, glad you got a payday that's great news, i love paydays lol
the alice band turned up because you stopped looking for it, that's how it always happens0 -
I was beginning to wonder if our resident ghost had moved it LT!
Been to butcher's near my Gran's and got some lovely sausages for tea, not cheap but they were nice. I also got lots of lovely fruit to munch at work as I'm slipping into a habit of buying fattening stuff from the vending machine.....neither good for the pocket or the waistline!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Glad you have had your first pay-cheque and had a nice anniversary meal. LT is right about lost things turning up once you have stopped looking!
I have got Joan Armatrading concert tickets for our anniversary in October, organized or what!!
Need to do some more paid work this afternoon, before I can get back to designing and making my own handbag. Should have used an existing pattern, but I like to make things difficult for myself
Have a good week xx

The concert sounds fab Keiss. What style of handbag are you making?
Well, I really need to get one of my cc's gone. The APR has gone to 43%!!!!! I think 'Beast' will be going on the back burner and 'Goliath' will be getting slain now I'm working again. So although its not much this week apart from the normal payment I've transferred the Quidco money I got this week. Once I pay my bills for september I'll start chucking some money at it to get rid of it as quickly as possible.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Well done on attacking the c-c Unix...easy to forget about it and pretend it isn't really there...best to face it and beat it into submission! Saying that, need to keep an eye on when our 0% one ends it's honeymoon and we have to move or pay up! Think I'll chuck some of next month's pay at it...this month's (and so much more) is being swallowed up by my two DS's uni accommodation bills. At least our food and fuel bills will be much lower while they are away, so we can get saving for the next term's bills....:o
Yup, can't wait to see Joan A. again. Saw her last in Manchester 1988...so a wee while ago!
As for the bag, I am doing some foundation pieced quilted panels for the front and back, inspired by a pattern I found in a book and using some of a jelly-roll I got last year. I am basing the shape on a bag I am using atm, which I got at a quilting exhibition last year. It's a nice size, but needs more pockets to separate stuff!
No doubt I will post piccies somewhere on MSE once I have finished it. Not sewn for a few days as been moving all my stuff out of my "craft room", so DS1 can get his bedroom back!! Working in the conservatory now for the next few weeks...a bit chilly tonight!
Have a good weekend...working tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday (as well as today). Off to Birmingham for work-related "do" all day...I'll be shattered next week! Can't be doing with this "full-time" lark, though the money comes in handy!!

Can't wait to see your bag Keiss
Paperwork all done for this week. I have a plan, 'Beast' is a cahsback cc so as long as I buy stuff but pay it off before the interest free period is over then I win due to the cashback (5%). Its paid in January and I can use this to help pay off Beast. I bought a new suit today for work (so I have 3 and not wearing the same one all the time), my weight is going down but not as fast as I'd like but I guess I don't want to lose it too quickly and then it all pile back on. I have put my suit onto the cc (beast) but will pay it off this friday when my next pay comes through. Its a pain in the neck being weekly paid but I am slowly getting used to it. pay from Friday there and a small chunk from this friday will cover this months bills. Then pay after that I'll put to one side for the bills at the end of Sept.
Lots of good YS bargains in the last few days:- Olive foccacia 45p (yummy had that last night), Beef bourgninon (sp?) and mash (£5 this was one of those gourmet meals but this was a compromise instead of going out), Lurpak (huge tub, £2), cod fishcakes 29pCC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Very tired tonight. Picked OH up after I finished but not before I ran 1 mile uphill to get the early train, collapsed in a heap on the train (I am so unfit), picked up a new alice band as I snapped my other one (is someone trying to tell me they don't like it?) and started my xmas shopping, got food shopping (YS stuff
) and used Beast to pay for it and I will pay it back on friday when I get paid but it means more..... cashback!

sounds like you've got everything planned out. I'm looking forward to investing in some work suits but it's still a long way off as i'm not buying stuff which won't be the right size for a long time.
I've had to hide my wedding ring away in my jewelrey box on sunday as it keeps falling off and i'd be heart broken if i lost it. I had my finger sized for a cheap ring (which i didn't get in the end) and it's gone down 6 sizes! I'm now wearing a ring i was bought about 30 years ago which i probably had sized up at some stage. Back to work tomorrow which will be a shock, i wonder if anyone will notice a change or anything (probably not)0 -
Wow, your doing well LT :T:T:T
I have managed to lose a stone now, just by eating less. Now I need to start doing some exercise to try and shift more pounds and start toning those muscles....;)!! I am looking forward to being able to get my wedding and engagement rings off to clean...not sure when I did that last....certainly not this century!!!
Well done on getting some Xmas shopping done Unix...I got a few things in the D£benham$ sale...should have got more, but still, it's a start!
Right, off to bed, have had four days at work, while the boss was away, I even did work stuff on Sunday, so no break for 5 days...almost like working full time (not done that for decades:o!) Shattered now, but at least I don't need to get up early tomorrow :j

If you find you miss having your actual wedding ring around, pop it on a chain and wear it close to your heart.
