I have set up connection for BTyahoo using the international no ie 0121 478 9200 and this connects.  I am on Talk2 package, so do I now get my internet calls for nothing eves & weekends, can anyone back this up.  Thanks?  If not I will have to connect to 18899.  At the moment I also use myinternetpass and as the previous person said, it is not perfect but it only costs me approx £5 per month.  If I now subscribe to 18899 I will also be able to log on during the day via this method for 3p per time, am I correct.

I haven't tried it but yes, you are correct in all your comments above.

The only thing is that connecting to the 0121 BT internet number for iternet use is technically against the T&C of the Talktalk contract so if they notice, they will probably ask you to stop..

    Regards
    Sunil
  • Hi,

Thanks for all the replies. I've tried your 0121-478-9200,
Sunil, and although my computer tells me that I am connected, I don't get an internet page to navigate from.
I tried clicking on the BT Yahoo icon on my screen, but came up with a connection error message.
Any ideas where I went wrong?

    Cheers,

    D.
Thanks to all who've gone before, and those yet to arrive.

Isn't this taking offensive content blanking a bit far? I believe that AOL had some similar content monitoring that didn't allow the residents of S****horpe (Lincs) to subscribe to them in the early days!
  • I use 'Fast 4' internet which is a standard thingy......

no frills just a low price....£6.99 and use as much and as often as you like..I have used ut for a while now and no problems.

  • Can I use the BTYahoo! offer with 18866?

Wouldn't it work out cheaper with the 1p connect fee?

Can I use 18866 for dial up connection,I am with virgin.net on 24/7 at the moment but if using 18866 it would be cheaper as it is 0/pence per minute, if so does anyone know the geographical dial up number? Thanks

Apparently it's VirginNet 01483 881 766 (Guildford) according to the previous page.

I might have to give them a try, apparently my sister can't get 18866 working with BTYahoo!, though I should probably look it over tomorrow because she isn't the best with computers shall we say.
