Florenceem Index is at the beginning of the thread. The recipes are the first few posts - Millie's Cookies are in there.

Whoopsie shops are going to the supermarket and picking things out of the reduced section. (Think Whoopsie is Mr A, but we use that or YS - yellow sticker to cover everybody)

Most people put your name in bold to indicate a specific message for somebody. Hope this helps.

    Welcome.

I've been shopping a couple of times since I last updated. I even went and checked Waitrose out for the first time ever, but I only allowed myself to buy things on special offer and not get too carry away with all the exciting food on offer. I was also very naughty and treated myself to a burger king :( Oh well I'm still just under budget as I've spent £121.85 of my £130 budget :)

Spent £42 at Co-op today, I went to get the £5 surf but as I suspected the offer had ended. Annoyingly there were plenty of crisps offers which I went in for the other day and there weren't any! So bought crisps for DH and lots of meat which I won't even be using for a while. I must either stop stocking up or set up a system for paying for it seperately, off to find the 'second purse' thread people mentioned as that may be what I need. At least £40 of this months spends won't be consumed this month! Will definitely go over this month, can't see how I'll not do. Doh!

Had a disastorous tea last night. Cooked some qu0rn escallope things and even DH, who will eat anything, couldn't stomach them. Ended up using the last of the bread for some sandwiches instead so none left for my lunch today. Spent £1.86 on 2 lunch and k1t kat at work.

Been to Mr S tonight and done a huge shop. Filled the trolley, didn't have any room left in it to get any of the dog food that is on offer so will have to go back at the weekend. Grand total of £85.44 spent and all the staples replenished as well as somthing nice for BIL birthday tea:)

Hope your mouth feels better soon Quintwins.

Hi folks, hope you are all doing alright. I spent £36 in Tesco a couple of days ago, but i got a mammoth load of meat and poultry that was half price and less than half price and couldn't pass up the opportunity. I got loads but off the top of me head one of my bargains was 5 x pkts of beef n pork mince, 600gram a pack, for £1 each pack! I also brought 2 x packs of 3 huge chicken breasts in garlic and herb, from the deli counter...£2.55 a pack instead of nearly £6...i got finest diced beef at less than half price a pack, pork fillet, pork loin, casseole steak and finest sausages. I reckon about £26 was on meat and the other tenner was on other grocery items like butter etc.

I don't actually eat a lot of meat but i like to have some in the freezer for when my son comes over 2 days a week and stays the whole day and evening..usually i just eat veggie meals with my DD but i'm really pleased with my meaty bargains.

Cheerfulness - sounds lovely - a weekend away - hope you have a lovely time - any idea on where you might be going

We've actually booked a little cottage in Last of The Summer Wine country. :) It was a cheapy ebay deal. ;)

Wanting to save some money to eat out as we hardly ever do the tea shop and cafes thing these days. Shall be a real treat!

The big job of inventorying (is that a word?) the pantry and freezer will get underway today. I can hardly shut the freezer lid for all the whoppsies but think there is an awful lot of bakery goods rather than real meals. Am bad! :o

toddles i'm sending my mum, much cheaper that way as i save on desil, and extras i might get that i don't really need lol

my mouth is acually alot better today, just in time for finishing my antibiotic lol, were having yesterdays pork casarole for tea because i found some less than great bread last night so gave the kids beans on toast, oh made £10 yesterday so treated us to takeaway, i decided on a kebab because i knew it would take me ages to get and it still tastes nice when cold, i was right it took me over an hr to eat it but it was yummy :)

takeaway isn't coming from my budget infact it won't be coming from my budget anymore we tend to get them when we get unexpected money anyway but they mess up my budget so from now on my budget is food only, and i'm allowing £25 a month for takeaway which i'm going to take out and put in a jar, so if we don't have any it carrys over but once it's gone it's gone, we will get £50 for july because hubbys off for 2 weeks and we always spend more than usual then
