92p spent on a bottle of 0asis at work today because I was thirsty. Have already filled it up with squash for work tomorrow.:)
Nothing in for lunch tomorrow and no hm cakes either so thank heaven it's payday. Will have a treat of a canteen lunch. One and only time this month.:D
Because it is my pay day tomorrow I am declaring this month at £232.89, our lowest spend in months:D:T
My target for 22nd June to 21st July is £260 based on 4 weeks at £45 and £75 for dog food and restocking my cupboards as they are looking bare. The more I can come under this budget the more I can put towards our holiday in August and frankly there isn't any spare money this month for me to go over.
DS had a Mr S value nappy on last night and it worked very well. Will buy them again:) Mr S have S1mply Dry on offer at the moment which work out the same price as well.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
Make £2021 extra income - £99.750 -
Totally lost my way with the receipts this month but my target for July is £200.
Actually have an allowance of £265 for July but am hoping to cream off £65 for a weekend away with DH.
Looks like time for a store cupboard challenge for moi. :dance:AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Hi Peeps
we did a huge Aldi shop last night and now only have £2.58 left for the rest of June  Actually thats not as bad as it sounds as its only until this weekend so all is still good
Just been having a look on the calendar and July will be a 5 week month for us but i shall still be allowing 4 weeks money for the GC as we will be away for one week so fingers crossed everything should work out fine.
Helen Jelly - I stopped doing the whoopsie run quite a while ago as i found that exactly the same was happening to us and we were spending a packet on things that we didn`t really need so the GC budget went out of the window quite often. We have two freezers - the one in the kitchen which is part of a fridge freezer which is used for normal sized everyday things and a small chest freezer in the corner of a spare room for bulk buys and offers. This system seems to work very well for us as i can still take advantage of any really good offers and freeze veg from the garden to see us through the winter months.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Morning all
total spend this month now £353.95. Have built up a good stock of dry foods. Been such a busy upside down month. Did Lidl and mr Ts on monday....£32.73 and £34.89.
Need to head out again tomorrow for fresh fruit. My lot are finished uni and school ends here this week, so they will be eating me out of house and home!!!!! Bought 2 boxes nectarines and 2 of peaches on monday and they are all gone!!! So need to head to lidl again!!
I dont buy a lot of biscuits just some now and again for a treat(have some hid if someone comes in) and when I asked the eldest (home from uni) 'do you like nectarines? ', he replied sure what else is there to eat!!!! Oh the pleasures of being a mother!
Think I may only have to make dinner for 4 tonight so I have some pizza dough in fridge...might make that for DH and ham salad and chips for everyone else. Got some great local ham reduced in Mr T's.
Take care all and keep watching the pennies.
God bless

my mum forgot to go to tesco's yesterday so is going today but i had to send oh out to get me some mouthwash (which he got the wrong one i swear i still feel like i'm gonna be sick from using it half an hr ago) and some bongela so that was a £5 spend

Choogirl - for the first time on here you've done well - remember that before, you weren't paying attention to your spends and now you are - just aim to reduce a bit each month and you'll soon be where you want to be - well done for all the hard work you have done
XSpender - well done
Cheerfulness - sounds lovely - a weekend away - hope you have a lovely time - any idea on where you might be going
Sunnyday - thanks, nice to know we are not the only ones who found that reduced stuff was costing us!!!
Quintwins - I've missed what has happened to your mouth but have a hug as sore mouths and teeth are horrid [hug]
Just been to MrS as I'm off MrT at the mo - spent £55 which i'm quite happy with, they don't have as many offers as MrT but thats good cos then I don't spend as much!!
Have a lovely day everyone

I'm really realising just how many bits and pieces I do of shopping over a week - no wonder I've been spending more than I thought. I think I'm going to do what I did before and scan in all my receipts to a spreadsheet so I can see exactly where the food money goes.
I may be teaching lots of Old-Style grannies to suck eggs here, but it came as a revelation to me when I realised I could do this! If you use the free Windows OCR program to scan it in it will read the actual text which you can then put into a spreadsheet, so you can tot it all up or whatever and find out how much you spend on certain things. If anyone wants to know how I do it, I could give more detail.0 -
thanks helen one of my teeth are dying but both me and the dentist want to avoid taking it out til we have to (i'm terrified of the dentist and she knows it) it's been really good for about 6 months, but i got an infection that turned into an absess, which is clearing up nicely with antibiotics but i also got a sore or an ulcer or something on teh roof of my mouth and it's making eating impossible, it is acually getting better but it's still very sore
change of plans for lunch, were having sausage rolls i got reduced the other night, i'm also having a few meatballs (also reduced)
if any of you liek me use MR'S value baby bath in your soap dispensers it's half price online now or instore tomorrow, i'm sending my mum after work tomorrow to save on desil for this and value baby wipes, she also managed to get me 19tins of 8p sweetcorn this morningDEC GC £463.67/£450
