Morning all
Been MIA on here and need to update my siggy with £55 - will do that in a mo
We are trying really, really hard to run down our freezers - its quite hard as we have things like a Duck in there - not an everyday meal!! We will be freecycling one of them when its empty [hopefully this weekend] and then continuing to run down the other freezer so some batch cooking can be done. I have discussed with DH the fact that as far as I'm concerned bulk buying of the reduced meats etc is not for us - we end up spending alot of money at once that is then frozen. We would be slightly better off if we only bought what we actually needed - do we really need 4 joints of beef - yes it may be nice to have it in the freezer waiting to be used but tis actually costing us to run the freezer and its money that has been spent way ahead of its time - hope that all makes sense!! We are also going to make much more use of Lidl and Aldi and try to avoid MrT - clubcard rewards are nice but not a must have. All of this is being done now in time for the 7.5% yes 7.5% paycut that DH is having to take in Sept - don't even get me started on that one.
Anyhoo, hope you are all well
Haven't managed to catch up with the thread so hugs to all the poorlies, I'll keep up to date from today onwards with the thread

Grrrr. Just wasted a pack of DR Beef Rib Trim. Used a 'slow cook' recipe. Thought there wasn't enough liquid, but put it in overnight (8hrs). Its carbon. What a waste.GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500

Hello!
Nsd today. Had some eggs to use up so I have made a sponge cake and a batch of Millies Cookies. This is the first time I have made them and they are soooooo nice. It will take lots of willpower not to eat them all myself.
