Hi everyone
Just a quick update of spends from the last week. £54.19 between W**trose, C**p, and S**nsburys. This includes 16 toilet rolls from W**trose, thank you for pointing out the offer (sorry not sure who it was) and a few treats for Fathers day.
My DH gets paid on Friday and I think unless something goes badly wrong I am going to be coming in either under or on budget for the first time since I started doing the grocery challenge!!!! Yipeee.
Thank you everyone for all your inspiration, tips and recipes.

Well, our meal out cost more than I'd hoped and I've ended up going over my food & grocery budget for the month. I think that in future I will plan in advance and make a good dinner at home rather than pay for a restaurant meal. If I'd spent as much as I did on food and cooked it at home it would have been a banquet rather just an OK meal. I'm disappointed but because I'm actually thinking about what I'm doing now then the chances that I can improve on this next month are higher than they otherwise would be.:AWonderfulLife:A0

I called into M&S to get milk on the way home last night, and I also picked up a meal deal (for €12.50, I got a chicken costing 9.36 which will do at least 3 dinners, wine was 10.49, I got a trifle to share 3.69 and garlic mushrooms 2.99 which will go with HM potato wedges and burgers on Friday night instead of takeaway - saving €14.03!!!). And the 3 for €7 deal on summer foods for sausage rolls for lunches (DH and DD love those), chicken wings for Saturday and effectively a free pack of corned beef for DH sambos that will last another 2 weeks.
I am down to €107 per week between now and year end, but won't need to go to the SM this weekend and the veggies are starting to come in now as well so that will offset things again too.GC 2010 €6,000/ €5,897
