a small spend in Mr Ts today...I had to buy a sandwich today (got a cheap egg one though) as I remembered I was going straight out from work and would need to eat at work today, picked up a multi pack of walkers crisps for 1.37 and a pack of 9 rocky bars for 79p...which means I have enough bits of the kids pack ups tomorrow now rather than nipping to the shop later today and buying loads of other bits I don't need...
Going proper shopping to A!di tomorrow, hope I can get some good deals in there, really need to do a meal plan now for next week as I am struggling for meals at the moment..Starting with Avon C6 target sales £150.000 -

Hello everybody!
Small topup shop today of £2.55. It would have been £1.50 but for a pack of six reduced eggs and I need eggs at the weekend. They were reduced as the "display until" date is tomorrow, but the actual use by date is not until Monday and I will have used them all by then! Doubt they are the cheapest eggs I could have got, but I suppose they are at least free-range and I won't get any of those cheaper.
It's early days, but I am hoping that by what I've spent so far I can make it under budget this month. Famous last words!0 -
Many thanks to everyone for getting us going again this Month - please put me down for £250 for JUNE Please.
cat_smith - sorry I've had Computer problems so not been on much since last week but noticed on the May GC that you asked about Cumberland Pie - the recipe I used was from "Second helpings from the dinner Lady" - it's like a Sausage Casserole with mash on the top - if you want I can type out the recipe and post on here.
I've spent quite a bit of June GC already, placed an order with DR, been to Tesc0 and L!dl - doesn't help that it's Half Term this week and the kids are eating me out of house and home!!
Things looking good on the Allotment, had a couple of pickings of Strawberries, some Radishes, broad beans and salad leaves so far, so quite pleased.;)"WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!"GC for OH, myself, DD18 & DD16 includes Toiletries, cleaning stuff & Food.

hi not sure if anyone else has the same problem, but when i make the weetabix loaf it's usually quite hard on the outside, which i like but the lo's refuse to eat, they eat the middle and leave the 'crust' so i decided to try adding a teaspoon of baking powder and it made a huge difference:Dlovely soft loaf that the kids love:p
also a quick banana loaf, haven't checked if it's in the thread, but same as the weetabix loaf, replace the 2 crushed weetabix with one mashed banana (also added a teaspoon of baking powder) and bake untill cooked, this is much quicker than the other banana bread recipe i had which used butter and egg......was a bit naughty and added a few good squirts of golden syrup to the mix and it was delicious:D
no more GC spends since i last posted, will need to buy some pesto tommorow, then do another shop on saturday.
hope you are all well:)1 adult, 3 children-Newborn and ages 4 & 6, 1 rabbitbudget of £250 is for food, toiletries, nappies, wipes, cleaning/washing products and pet supplies (litter, sawdust, food)0 -
No GC spending today! I having been cooking up a storm this evening. I have made 24 banana and wheatbran muffins, wholemeal bread, split pea dhal and lots of turkey meatballs. That little lot should keep us going tomorrow. I have found I have no time in the kitchen during the day with the children being on half term, but I am quite enjoying cooking and baking during the light evenings.0
