Reporting in with a spend of £80.42 in Mr T's yesterday....
Bought loads of cheese (not been any in stock the last 2 weeks I went), tuna (£4) and lots of other expensive things that were needed
Also managed to get 6 whoopsied loaves of bread for the freezer at 55p each :j:j0 -
No spend for me so far, phew, have loads here - just wanted to recommend Farm Foods frozen chicken mini fillets - they are fab and you get 3 bags for a tenner this week, they also had 40 capri-sun drinks for £7 we use squash but its a good deal for summer picnics etc. New Farm Foor vouchers came through in the post this week

Doesn't the Grocery Challenge focus the mind! I'm using CFR (Cheapfamilyrecipes) website(Weezl's) system and enjoying it tremendously. I don't stick to the letter - still buy my free-range chicken and not a value one, for example, but I'm quite shocked at the number of tasty meals I can make for such a small amount of money. It's most gratifying:D You do spend a bit more on the first week to get your basic ingredients going - subsequent shopping should be much less :j
This morning I'm cooking my chick peas and peas and will be freezing in portions, bunging in some wholewheat bread, and then whipping up a home-made pizza and freezing the leftover dough and the topping ready for other days.
Good luck to all on your June Grocery Challenge:beer:0 -

2 NSD so far and still quite a bit of stuff in the fridge and cupboards, so not a lot of shopping to buy this week. I am going to be even more frugal this month if possible as its only 10 weeks until our family holiday.Every pound is a prisoner this month. I have a bramley apple in the fridge that hasn't been used so I may see if I can make a nice apple cake later if I feel like it.But after being out for the day in London yesterday with my grandchildren today is going to be a pottering day with numerous pots of tea and lots of knitting

Well got lots to tell you all, my husband and I have decided this is the last year we will be doing B&B, My DD2 has a brain tumour (non malignant) and a 9 month old baby so we think it best we free up some time to spend on them.
These past months doing the GC will stand me in good stead as I have completely changed my shopping habits. Thanks to all of you and your support.
For anyone that either likes Donald Russell meat or wants to try them , they have an offer on at the moment for 8 packs of minced steak for £22 thats £3 per pack, I'm about to order 32 packs. For delivery in August. (I only buy their best offers.) That way I can afford them. Every now and then they offer free delivery, so I place small orders spread over a few months.
Its the BEST mince ever, and a great price, go through Quidco and get 7% off.
This company also gives you good gifts if you recommend someone, if anyone would like me to recommend them PM me your email address. Then if you like them you could recommend someone else from here, that way we all get gifts lol. Just a thought. I got two HUGE chopping boards for recommending a friend. The best I've ever had, got my eye on their steak knives
