cat-smith - can you bone them, flatten them out and then roll them with the mozarella and then wrap?
philsmum - glad it was ok, hope you sleep better tonight. I helped someone at work through something similar, and know he was tons easier in himself after the court bit. Don't leave yourself short on the paperwork for living costs, there are guidelines out there for how much you are allowed so you don't have to live on pasta for two years.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

Weekly shop done today. I am very pleased with myself as I haven't fallen into the top-up-shop trap! So lots has been run down and I have made myself a Great Recipe Hunt list. It is a list of all the things I have in the back of the fridge, cupboard and freezer that seemed like a good idea that flopped. So I have finished up the mincemeat and sundried tomatoes. Now I am looking for recipes that use wheatbran, semolina, ground rice..... Main criteria is that I don't have to buy lots of other ingredients to use up old stuff! I will be making almond slices first, any other ideas are very welcome!
I need to visit the farm shop for some meat, possibly tomorrow. So I will be spending again, but it will be my monthly sausage and ham joint shop. I think I will pop to the c0-0p too as they have free range chocks on special. So I will be able to make some pies.0 -
Philsmum- yes, glad it went ok for you today.
I do have a small receipt to update but I can't find it at the moment.
Has anyone heard from Spiggle? I'm a bit concerned about her as its been a while & doesn't seem like her to be absent this long.

I did my first meal planned weekly shop yesterday at Morrisons - picked because it is the smallest supermarket near me (no Lidls or Aldi - boo) and therefore I am less likely to buy other things. I did stray off the list a little but not much. I got some burgers which I love (which were on offer), some reduced chicken breast steaks for the freezer and I treated myself to a lovely Passionflower plant for £1.79. It came in at £37.71 - almost half of what I had been spending, so I'm very chuffed, hopefully I can keep it up. I do need some office stationary and disinfectant and a few household things but I'm going to go to Wilkinson's or Poundland I think.
The hardest thing I'm finding (she says only a day in) is that when I was bored or just fancied doing something, I always just used to pop to the shops for a browse (which always led to spending). I think I'm going to need a new hobby!"Born to shop, forced to work!"0 -
... I feel that the last 3 years have been a rehearsal for what is about to happen tomorrow, we are filing for bankruptcy. So sad that it has come to this at our ages me 64, hubby 67 but we can't go on like we have been doing. No matter how long we live we will never pay of the interest on the credit cards. Been in floods of tears for last few weeks. We have to be at the court for 9-15 in the morning, don't think I will get any sleep tonight, no change there then.
Will let you know what happens.
Pat:(
I know exactly what you're feeling as it happened to me a few years ago; this is the chance for you both to make a new start! Take care of yourself, I hope things work out for you as well as they did for me... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

Hi
Can you put me down for £400.00 for June please 2 adults & 2 older kids, sounds a lot I know, but have shelled out on lots of b/day treat for OH & have taken it from my grocery budget as it was bought with some shopping, so have to claw this back somehow:eek:
Have spent a whopping £113.28 so far my month runs 28th to 28th
Thanks, will really be trying mega hard to crack it this month, especially after the amount I have spent so far:eek: I did make a chicken last for three meals for the 4 of us though, which is quite impressive I thought:)
Also managed to get 1/2 dozen happy eggs for 62p on whoopsie, don't go off till the 4th, so will be using them in sarnies & baking:)grocery challenge Sept 2012 £21/£3990
