Am having an absolute nightmare!
Have lost count of what I've spent on groceries.
Half term, had a menu plan, but everynight someone has wanted something different, so I have given up
I feel like I have really tried but failed miserably.
Will try to get a grip on things and update my signature, but I think June may have to written off and used as a learning tool!
On a more positive note, I have started looking out for whoopsies in any supermarket I'm in and trying to create a meal around them. Got a quiche for 55p today, had with salad for tea.
Will try harder

Morning ladies and Gents
found out yesterday afternoon that I have gestational diabetes. so back to the drawing board for meal plans and my budget really. My priorities have changed so my chest freezer full of red meat will have to wait and the white bread will have to go to the ducks.
I spent yestday searching what to buy/eat and spend £35 in MrS on wholegain things and lots of fresh veg and yoghurts.
I have also taken a box and filled it with all the goodies in my house and going to take them round to my brothers this afternoon. I have decided that the whole family is going to follow this low GI plan with me. Its healthy eating after all.
Does anyone on this board have diabetes? are there any posts, recipes that people can lead me too that would be so great.Happy days

Hello All
I have not posted for a couple of weeks as I have been away and very busy at work. I have been keeping track of my grocery spends and, including the £16 on nowt my DH spent when I was away for the weekend, I have spent a total of £169.28. This is over my rough budget of £150 this month. I was expecting to go over £150 to be honeset so I am OK with the total.
I have 13 days left before payday and we are super skint. The total above includes a shop at Mr S I did on Thursday and we have enough dog food, cereal, meat/veggie alternatives and jars for DS to last until the end of the month. I also have bread in the freezer so will only need milk and fresh fruit, salad and veg. Here is a load of stuff in the cupboards too, I just need to meal plan and get cooking!
My only worry is that I might need nappies otherwise I am hoping to stay under £200. This would be my lowest spend since well before DS was born last May if I can manage it:TSave £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
Make £2021 extra income - £99.750 -
BAH! Just checked and not on the list!!!! So am declaring £120 for June. First shop after work today...focus...focus....focus!!!!!!!
