  • I have eaten two whopping great big frogs today
I am so pleased with myself even though I didn't make it into the room of doom (it's not going anywhere)

So what were the frogs well ......(drum roll please)

    My tax return
Yipee (even though I spent 45mins in a queue on the phone to the self assesment helpline- did manage to do some filing etc while I was waiting)
    and
Child Tax credit renewal - couldn't do it until tax return form was done as I hate to give them estimates(another 20 minute wait on phone!!)

They were both on my sunday 10 frog list and although I knew they would take longer than 10 mins they needed doing and have taken a wait of my shoulders.

I also managed to do some shredding, filing, reply to some emails that were urgent and finished tidying master bedroom and as a result apart from the room of doom this is the first week that the house is clean and tidy. The children now have two days to mess it up before they go back to school!!

Once 2 daughters have gone to bed I am having an hour to myself reading a book I want to finish - I deserve an hour after the improvements I have made this week. Have a great weekend I am going for a breakfast run sunday morning with the club. A 4-5 mile run followed by breakfast in a local cafe (drooling at the thought of a bacon butty)
Thanks to MSE savings we got to go to Disneyworld Florida.

I am going to have a slurp or two of wine I think.

Done some money transferring, more washing done and out. Met some colleagues for lunch as one was leaving.

Swept up the head, wing and intestinal tract of a bird that next doors cats had had fun with. As I'm looking after their cats I thought it wise to dispose of the horror before they got back.

DD1 turned up with a job app, a tattoo (Harry Potter one if you will) and an announcement that she's moving into her boyfriends tomorrow.

    DD2 has sunburn.

Hubby is still not right, been housebound for most of the week with no discernable improvement.

My plans for the weekend, to probably get the front garden sorted seeing as DD1 has other plans....I'm really cheesed off as its an overgrown nightmare and the worst on our street but I was waiting for her to sort it. Gah.

Right fishfinger butty and a glass of white I think. I'm in THAT kind of mood.

    Evening flyers

I did try to post earlier but my puter wasn't playing. I've spent most of the day in the garden hopping and ribbiting (not many people can carry that off but I did it beautifully).

Off to find my list x

    evening ladies and gents :)
back from work finally! my feet are killing me and i'm starving. my flying plans went to pot before work, i went to wash the dishes only to find there was no hot water left. spent 15 mins on hold to the jobcentre just to be told i was through to the wrong department and hung up on, another 20 mins on hold and finally got the issue sorted. did get some ironing done though, going to make something to eat now then get the dishes done and veg out on the sofa. off work tomorrow so hopefully will be a productive day.

Not alot of flying done today, lots of prep for going shopping though - I was going through mysupermarket to see where can get the best deals since I'll be passing Mr Al, Mr A, Mr T & Mr S in the next 4 days ;)

I also made rhubarb & forest fruit crumble today and maxed out the use of the oven by cooking chicken fillets in there at the same time. Can't remember the last time I used the oven :rotfl: Also the excess juice from stewing the fruit I've saved, seived and we'll use it as a cordial as we're getting a little low on that. Some of the fruit came from App. Foods in little jars, which I've kept, soaked the labels off and plan to put to good use, not sure what for yet, but they were so much nicer than the SP from Mr A I usually have I couldn't bring myself to throw them out :rotfl: I think my frugal head was well and truely on today.:D

My livingroom is now the tidiest its been in weeks! :D I've taken to leaving it until DD has gone to bed as she just turns into either a grumpy Kevin or she'll help and take forever to clean the windowsil! Tomorrow I'll clean it first thing while she gets sorted to go out with X for the day. I'm thinking 8am is not too early to be vacuuming is it? ;)

Off to bed now, night night all
