Max - which day of your ABs are you on? How long is the course and what are they strength/type. From my throat experiences you should be feeling significantly better by day 4 of a 7 days course

Day 3 of 10 days. Penicillin V tabs 250mg. two to be taken four times a day.
I remembered what the doc said - it was that if I was no better, i might need an injection  to speed things up. Maybe i won't phone after all :p

On a flying front, I have made a phonecall (frog), put 2nd load of washing out, and am about to attack the kitchen AGAIN.
Oh and I did the litter tray - shame it's been used 3 times since then.....why can't they go outside? They can see the sun is shining.

There isn't a cloud in the sky. I can't believe it! 20 miles from Manchester centre and it's not raining. Must be summer. BBQ for tea methinks :D

Wel.. the gutter dude DIDN'T turn up this morning.. so he will be getting a snotty call when my phone is charged.. he didn't even have the decency to let me know he wasn't coming.. Oh well.. I have the gutter AND the bay roof done and he hasn't got a penny in payment so I'm on top right now!

I'm feeling a bit less snotified today.. Squeak.. isn't and it appears DS2 and Tiddles both have the cold now.. they can go share with KH MWAHAHAHAHA...

Cheers for that Max.. we are heading over that way for the weekend.. :D Nice to know Squeak may not need 15 sweaters!

    Morning all

Gorgeous drying day. I got the bedroom curtains down first thing and they were washed and dried in a flash and are back up again. I then did another load and I think that's probably dry now.

Vacuumed right through downstairs and washed the kitchen floor.

Blind fitted in the living room today so that's officially complete now.

Not finished catching up yet, hope everyone's OK.

Yay. Guy came round to quote for garden blitz. Much cheaper than last year (can't wield a lawnmower due to bad back and vertical garden) I'll potter around with him on Monday - I always achieve more when there is someone else participating.

Veg out in greenhouse. I'll leave them over the weekend and plant out. Gorgeous day today.

Can I ask Cat - how much were you quoted and where are you? I was quoted £100 last year just to cut the grass and hedges, I thought that was a bit excessive considering I have about 20 sq ft of grass in total... I havent even bothered pricing this year!

2nd load on the line, 3rd load in machine... did some general decluttering upstairs, am showered and dressed. Boot loaded for charity shop...

    Off I go xx

ETA - Hope the Pigpen Brood all feel better soon! x

Max that is quite a dose. With that your GP is right if it isn't clearing you need to go back. Depending on what your OOH service is like you might want to go this afternoon rather than wait. Are you feeling any better in yourself.

I've done some outstanding garden jobs, just having a cuppa then slate polishing and onto paperwork before lunch.

I love your comment about the Manchester weather - I grew up in Hazel Grove nrear stockport and remember it well!

I used to spend a lot of time at Old Trafford cricket ground where the theory was

'If you can see the hills it's going to rain - and if you can't see the hills it's raining already!'

    Am doing mountain of ironing

    Enjoy your BBQ!

£25 for both front and back (vertical) lawns. Then £8/hr for other work. Not cheap, but otherwise its never going to get done.

    I'm in Strathblane.

I'm going back at 4.15. Saves mucking about with OOH and I have no idea what that's like cos I've never used them. I am feeling better in myself, but I have to keep remembering to take ibuprofen/paracetamol.

I am 10 minutes away from hazel grove. I was there last week visiting a colleague who had to take early retirement. Didn't you get proposed to in Sefton park as well which is where I grew up. Small world.

On a flying note. I have taken some chicken out of the freezer to bbq tonight. I really CBA today, but I think i can be excused :D
