Yes, and you know that stock can be re-ordered? In fact I have just checked and there are loads of these TVs at the other store in my locality, albeit they are not on offer.

    You said "while stocks last".

    Jeez, it's not difficult. rolleyes.gif

The sale was 'while stocks last'.

The manager could, at his discretion, back order for a customer at the sale price to mitigate for his incompetence in not ensuring that the queue was properly managed.

Do we really need the bitchy brigade to repeatedly pile in every time someone has a reasonable complaint?

It clearly is difficult, because you don't get it. If it's while stocks last then ordering isn't while stocks last. It's not !!!!!y, and it's not a reasonable complaint.

    Reasonable complaint my eye.

The OP got the TV, so no harm done.

Let me explain it in very, very simple words.

A manager has the discretion to sell something to a customer for a reduced price.

If he cocks up, as he did here, by failing to ensure that the queue was properly managed he could order another instance of the item the customer wanted and sell it to him for the sale price.

It's called 'good customer relations' and is something every business should strive for.

Why you cannot grasp such an absurdly simple concept is a complete mystery. rolleyes.gif

It's a reasonable complaint because the manager was utterly useless in that he failed to ensure that the queue was properly managed and then failed to do anything to mitigate his earlier incompetence.

Had it not been for the 'pusher in' doing the honourable thing then the OP would have wasted a lot of time for nothing.

That sort of incompetent behaviour on the part of an Argos manager certainly deserves to be aired.

    See the post above yours.

Having the use of an operational TARDIS helps, of course.
