Am I the only person who's had one of these letters but no address to send all the documentation back to? I think it's Belfast as its a 02890 number but I'm stuffed if I can find an address on it.
Anyone have the address? I can't ring the office as I work in a call centre and can't make outgoing personal calls.
Also, my before/after school care/ holiday care is paid for via a payment card and cheques so all I've been able to do is print off bank statements and emailed receipts and give them that.
I also was on maternity leave in 2009 and last years award was based on that rather than my actual income which I did ring up several times to advise them of, I think this has triggered the investigation.0 -

Your situation is similar to mine as being on SMP in 2009-2010, I also think this may have triggered an investigation. I went through the specialist renewal last year and everything was checked and fine, but have another one again this year.
The address I have is:
Millennium House
5th floor
17a-25 Great Victoria Street
Belfast
BT2 7BNMortgage Feb 2015 £178,500 END 2043!!
MFW 2015 £100 /£1000
Watch this space, my MF end date will tumble!!0 -

Thanks for that, I thought I'd been through the mill enough last year when they stopped my payments without warning during a review.
I nearly ended up losing the house, being kicked off childcare and being taken to court as I couldn't pay any of my bills.
After 4 months of me complaining and them saying no you've been overpaid anyway, they just dropped the money into my account one day no apology no nothing. So to get this starting up again is really getting me worried.0 -
yummy letter from a compliance officer for me, it only gave me 7 days to provide a years payslips, my p60, reciepts from nursery and info of any other benefit i get (i only get a small amm of housing/council tax ben and a bit of child maintainence plus the child ben.
i work for a gov office and consider myself straight as a dart, cant help but get very very scared though.
i worry ive missed something.... ive scoured through the award for last year and the update i recieved from them after making some changes to child care amount and my hours increased then decreased. all the dates are right on the award but im still not sleeping.
my DS is 3/half so i get free afternoons for him but my nursery charges me full whack, for the month (1300 for two children full time) and then i get a cheque back at the end of term, but the amount changes from term to term and i dont get to see any paperwork from nursery.
i contacted TC to declare the reduction in payments even though i was still paying the same. But i had to super mum maths the amount due to the circumstances regarding how the nursery pay the grant.
any help / ideas?
good luck everyone0 -
i have just renewed mine today over phone, said will take upto 2 weeks to complete! so am not looking forward to find out what i will be getting or if i get the compliance letter!!!
my prvis amount for this tax year has already gone down £20 a week and according to entitled to i should be getting £10 less than what i am actually getting at the minute!! so all in all im def going to be down £30 from this tax year per week, which is a lot of money for me!!!
plus i totally forgot to cancel my sons out of school club back in august (which was £25 per week) so am dreading this compliance letter!!!
Does anyone know how to find out if you are getting one instead of just sitting here biting my finger nails off????
also, on the phone today i told the woman my actually amount i earned last year. and for some reason she worked out how much i was getting an hour! (im self employed and trying to get this off the ground) she said you do know you are working for £1.50ph dont you!!!!! well i was absolulty fuming!!!!!!! i said well at least i am not sat on my a##e all day watching the telling claiming income support!!!!! at least i am trying to maje a decent future for my kids!!! the cheeky get!!!! are they actually allowed to say this and to work out how much ypu are on anhour????0 -

Of course they are. It's one of their best ways of working out who is on the fiddle.
They have people who ring up and say they are working for X company for X amount per month. They can then point out that either the company is paying much less than minimum wage, they have made an 'error' with their hours or an 'error' with their wages. It's a good way for them to weed out people deliberately fiddling their income or saying they work enough hours to be entitled when they do not.0
