Aye we've had that too but ours is abit of a muddle as the nursery hasnt got any oringals of contracts ive got a few but between us not that much just going to send what i can find and see what they say

I have been asked to do the same. The person I spoke to said it is fine for the nursery to write a statement on headed paper of the amount paid for the year. My problem is in October last year I notified tax credits that I was stopping one of the providers (childminder after school) and now she no longer lives at her address, her mobile is disconnected and I paid cash. I am trying to get hold of her extended family so she can get in touch with me, failing that I hope they will accept the cash withdrawals on my statements. Looking back on it I should have requested a statement when my DD stopped going.

I renewed, got a provisional award a week later and then 10 days later got the compliance letter asking for P60's,payslips, bank statements, childcare charges etc. I was told I hadn't renewed and that they will be doing my renewal and finalisation. I was on maternity part of the last tax year so had lower wages. It was very daunting at first trying to get everything together, but I think I have everything they require barring one small childcare statement which I am having trouble getting. I will be sending everything recorded delivery and number referencing everything.

i not renewed yet but i have told them my income for 2010/11 already.

My letter came from cardiff.


should i be worried about the letter?

It's a standard thing where a number of cases are selected based on a certain criteria (I think that changes each year).

Eventually it should bring everyone into having their claims checked at least once. They don't add on childcare now without checking so it's just getting through the zillions of cases that have been getting paid out without any checks whatsoever.

It's funny when you think we'd all be up in arms if it turned out the government were paying out millions and millions on military or other bills without checking them, yet that is exactly what they've been doing with the childcare element of tax credits!

I would give them a call to confirm what they need.

I was worried at first as it was asking for something I couldn't provide.

I think they add requirements to a standard letter, as when I called asking them to explain what it meant they said it was added in error.

When u renewed before the letter were u told dont call until June. I was told this but not had letter?
