no, just that it could take up to 8 weeks for paperwork.

If you have childcare get your paperwork ready just in case.

Yes it did, I don't think it was a direct line number as when I called a man answered.

    Hi,

Has anyone had a reply from the tax credit office regarding this?

I sent in a letter as i was getting help with child care, then i went on maternity leave in september and forgot to cancel it until december - new born baby, stress, c -section delivery etc.

I now have a letter asking me for childcare receipts between sep and dec 2010!!!

I too am in a panic and it was a complete mistake, which i have admitted on a letter i sent back and advised i will happily repay the money i accidently overclaimed.

    Anyone had a similar exper

Hi - so you renewed when did you renew? And was told dont ring back. Did you get a lump sum after renewing and a provisional notice for this year? Did you have any major changes from last year to this?

I renewed 5th May and got lump sum few hundred quid wasnt expecting this - then got a provisional notice and payment ever since.

My income was wrong on the provisional so I got this corrected on 16th May and expect to get less.
My child care has gone down a lot and still waiting but got provisional payment this week again.

I was told not to call back until after 16th June - so reading some threads other people have been told this but no mention of a compliance letter.

I had one last year and did what was required.

So should I wait to see if a letter arrives or calls. Is anyone else in same position at present.

    Thanks

I renewed on the 5th of May, got a provisional award and extra payment, then 10 days after that the compliance letter.

I went through the specialist renewal last year, but the letter states they can check your claim every year.

Personally I would just get your childcare paperwork ready, if they write you will be ready.

My changes this year was I would be earning more. My claim last year was much lower than expected because of being on maternity.

Thanks for info - I'll start getting info ready. Were you told not to call till after a certain date? Sorry I put April meant June.

May its because you were on materity leave. I renewed same day as you but not had a letter so its been over 10days...
  • I havent yet renewed as only got P60 recently plus DD2 goes to school this year and wasn;t sure how much after school club wwould cost.

I am worried because I had told them previously that childcare had gone down and the man on the phone said he would pass it through to another team. He adjusted my income and that confirmation came through. I wasn't worried that the childcare still hadn't changed on the award notice because I thought it would be sorted out seperately. So I know I have been overpaid but as far as I was concerned it was in hand.

I've calmed down a bit since Friday but still very worried. I was meant to be putting money aside each week ready for whenI was at university.
