Don't think you need to have 10 items in your list, I did the offer last time and only put 2 films in the list as they were the ones I wanted to watch - still got the voucher through fine :)

How long did it take to the the voucher? tia

Some people have mentioned doing trials in the past, and doing them again. I did one about 3 years ago, but it was at my old address. For this trial, I used a different address, but also played safe with a new e-mail address and credit card as well. Didn't have any problems cancelling last time, as I returned the last DVD with a good few days to spare, and deleted the list so they couldn't send out any more. Just hope this trial is just as easy.

i've been doing these lovefilm trials for years with some nice vouchers along the way.

from my experience, you can create a new account every 6 months with the same card; to the same address.

First films are on their way - don't ask why but I chose the 2 disc option. Can I safely remove the other films from my list now, watch the films over the weekend then send them back and cancel? How do I know when they've received the discs back? TIA

0844 482 0123 wonder if you have to pay one month to get voucher, as the voucher doesnt come out untit 30 days after your first DVD comes out, and this would be more than 30 days after you signed up?
I love this site and all chums, but its making a dent in my bank account!!!

When you get the first disc ,watch it and then send it back the next day ,but make sure to delete your list so they dont send another disc to you.
After 11 pm login to account and cancel the subscription and thats all you need to do.
Hi Taiko, i am assuming i can leave my subscrition going until day 29? that way i get the 3 disc im 'entitled' with my £5.99 package, without paying anything? got kings speech yesterday looking forward to it!

alternatively, if your main aim is to get the money voucher, go through nectar.com and its 14 days trial with 5000 points = £25 voucher

Do you have a link to that deal? The only thing I could find gives you the 5000 points only after you've been a paying member a few months.

That would be pushing it, possibly too far. They take payment after the trial, if not cancelled, however the process for collecting payment may need to begin before the payment is due. If you leave cancellation to the very last minute, you might find yourself having to dispute a payment that it was already too late to stop.

However, what you can do with LoveFilm is cancel a subscription whilst you still have items on loan. So my advice would be to make sure you cancel at least a few working days before the end of a trial, which can be as soon as your last rented disc has been dispatched to you. I'd recommend deleting all remaining items from your rental queue at this point too. The cancellation then takes effect once they've recorded all rented discs as returned. Of course, be sure to return all discs in good time before your trial end date.

Getting a certificate of posting (free from a post office) when returning your last discs can also be a good idea.

The status of accounts and any discs you have on loan can be viewed online. They won't always receive and record a disc as returned the day after posting, especially over a weekend, so please allow extra days at the end of a trial if you want to be safe.

PS. I suspect the only reason they tell customers to initially add at least 10 items to the rental queue of a new account is to increase the chances of a new customer actually renting a disc, i.e. if you only put 1 really popular item in there it might not become available even before the trial end, so you might not receive anything if really unlucky but with 10 items it's obviously 10 times as likely they'll be able to send you something during the trial!

Hi. I signed up for this last time they had 17pound cashback with topcashback and a 20pound amazon voucher and you had to pay for 1 month to get your voucher. Still well worth it though if you pay for the 5.99 package. Those of you that are going to cancel after just the free trial may not get your amazon voucher. Mine was emailed to me 6weeks after signing up so I was halfway through my 2nd month with them. Obviously its up to each of you what you do. HTH.
