I tried the months free trial expecting to get a voucher for Amazon. Cancelled within the first 30 days. 30 days later still no voucher. After several e-mails between Lovefilm and myself I have been told I'm not eligible for the voucher as I had a free trial in the past. This must be over 5 or 6 years ago.

Now I suppose if it's in the terms and conditions that's fair enough but why did they e-mail me about the offer? Why did they accept my registration and activating a new account? They came to me as spam touting for business offering the £20 voucher....using the same e-mail address I've always had!

OK so its saved them £20 but long term I won't ever be using their services again. Left me with a bad vibe about the way the company operates.

Good luck to those with vouchers but beware in the future if you get a similar offer from Lovefilm don't bother!

Me neither have rung 3 times been fobbed off and now he says promotions dept will get back to me ! hmmmm not impressed
And I stayed signed up havn't cancelled have over 30 films in my list have watched and returned 6 films,paid first months subs etc... MEH

Well I started this thread on 26.05.11 so that's when I signed up and I've just got my voucher today! After me emailing them to remind them of course! I have a feeling they will try not to send you the voucher if they think you may have forgotten about it!!

After over a week of battling over LoveFilm’s web message system I have received the below response confirming that they did mess up and in fact are now paying out.

They will not contact anyone who they deemed not to be eligible so you need to get in touch with them if you want your £20

I appreciate your confusion, and I would like to clarify that there was an issue with the terms and conditions up until the 17/11/2011 (after you joined) and it did not state that you needed to add the 10 titles to your Rental List. As such, you are eligible for an Amazon voucher as this was unfortunately our mistake. I would like to confirm that I have contacted our promotional team on your behalf to request an E-voucher, and you will be sent this voucher via email as soon as possible.
