GTD's DFW Diary - Getting Closer to 40...

Can you utilise things like tesco clubcard vouchers for deals to help with the trip to China? Eg £10 of clubcard vouchers give you £40 off car hire, or 240 air miles?
We can have a "spot GTD" comp running when the Olympics is on. We play that game when the winter olympics are on, but haven't had anyone we "know" go to the Summers for a long long time.
I hope you get that MCOL thing done today.....the sooner you get it done, the sooner you will have that money going towards your China trip.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. We've been saving up points on everything we can - not many Tescos ones tho but only because that's miles from us, but loads of air miles etc.
I've been spotted a few times on telly (usually get a text) but I try to keep a low profilehidden behind flags etc. I don't do publicity...
Thanks for the MCOL reminder - will do it after 5pm when things quieten down a little.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 208 - Proud To Have Dealt With My Debts DEBT FREE DECEMBER 2008!!!0 -
Right, this week:
- Did the Mint MCOL, so that's one to keep an eye on.
- Lost 2lbs this week, which is the plan, so that's good too.
- Closed my co-op credit card after transferring balance to 0% card.
Got loads of work to do over the weekend, but must make sure I sort out my expenses, card payments and other bills. I'm going to 'pay' myself £10 per lb lost, so I'm going to keep that in my ING account.
Need to look at re-mortgaging this week. Been a bit 'slack' on that front due to fear of rejection I guess.
Right - the washing up is calling...

This week's update:
- Mint defend their claim w/Cobbetts; need to research next steps
- Lost 4lbs this week - £40 to savings account
- Confirmation that co-op card closed
I need to redo my snowballs to get the correct figure (goes up a bit due to transfer fees - grrr).
Things to do:
- Re-mortgage to get off SVR
- Re-calculate snowballs
- Cupboard under the stairs needs clearing out for ebaying...

Hi GTD, what does MCOL mean?0

Hi skintscotslass
MCOL is Money Claim On-Line - small claims online in summary. If I had to do these things on paper and post them off, I'd never get them done

I always think that I'm going to find a cellar door
one day.
OH will not be impressed with the temporary mess while I go through everything looking for e-bay-able items, so I may have to attempt it in stages.
I know I have an old motorbike leather jacket and a badminton racquet under there, it's just how deep 'under' they are...Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 208 - Proud To Have Dealt With My Debts DEBT FREE DECEMBER 2008!!!0 -
In my limited experience of tackling cupboards under the stairs (mine are just too too scary to attempt) doing it in stages rarely works.
A day off work and hauling it all out before sorting it and putting back only what is needed is the best way of doing it!
go on, you know it makes senseSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
