pml, so gald I'm not the only one who is 'daunted' by the thought of matched betting.

OH has said NO under any circumstances NO ... his dad was a gambler, so I can see where he is coming from, but then the naughty streak comes out and you know how it is - when someone says no, what do you want to do

Good luck when you decide to try it.

  • I've just been watching hypno's total in her sig going up over the last few months...

I think if you take the emotion out of it, and just treat it as a financial exercise you'll not get tempted to gamble. That's my theory anyways

I agree about the naughty streak tho ;)

If you are doing matched betting, then gambling doesn't come into it. You don't care who wins or loses, as long as the figures on the spreadsheet work!!

The temptation comes when they give you bonuses to spend on their casinos/games - then you have to be strong and if you had "addictive tendencies" then these would not be advised.

  • I tested my tendencies out on some free bingo and i managed to remain completely disinterested... :) despite the fact that i was one number away from winning £10K (not that i'm bitter...)

Online bingo does my head in when the free offers come through - all that WTG WTG 3TG stuff! The only time it was good was when SS told us all of a £100 free bingo weekend for a particular site, and we all spent a friday night on here and playing on line bingo at the same time. Quite a few won good money from their freebie so it turned into quite a laugh.

Needless to say, I can't win stuff all from free bingo.......so I'm not bitter either.....

    Have a good day!

I didn't have a clue what they were on about until a good few games in - and then it did my head in too!

Time to get some research done...

  • Wahoo - managed to sneak under the 7K barrier! A bit depleted on my current account due to holidaying and not keeping on top of everything, but will fight on.

I have some outstanding expenses to claim, so that should help.

Also - I took up SS's offer and it's looking v.good so far! Thanks SS, and thanks hypno for pointing me in the right direction.

OH is ebaying like crazy at the moment - the hallway is stuffed with parcels to go out, which is good. I have seen potential ring - now I need to a) get some more money and b) work out her ring size.

£10 in 20p's and £1 in 1p's to cash, so moving ahead slowly :)

Hi GTD, good news on sneaking into the 6's and glad that you did the virgin offer. Would have been a shame not to!

Now, about that ring......do you have a plan of action? Join in one of the challenges to raise the required money or something. I am desperate to be invited to a virtual engagement party!!
