Has anyone any idea how to get Thunder Flies (some people call them corn flies) from my LCD computer screen. They are tiny little flies and they have got behind the front screen of a computer and now when the computer is on you can see them. We get them every year and they get into pictures etc but this is the first time they have gotten into a screen!
I have removed the outer parts of the screen but I am hesitant about removing the outer part of the LCD screen.
Any ideas on what to do?
Thanks in advance.

hello
my new tv screen drives me mad
i dont want to use polish on it, i dont think im supposed to. im using a microfibre dust mit thingy and while its great on everything else its not on this.
please , any tips on what to use, or not to use as the black glass tv stand is just as bad
also there is some sticky marks on the stand left from the stickers i cant seem to shift
thankyou0 -
You can get screen cleaner wipes from PC shop's that'd do the trick, for the sticky marks on the stand, try nail varnish remover or brush cleaner (turps),which are the two methods I use to remove tape residue from any model kit's plastic I'm making.0

Hi hmc,
I use a slightly damp microfibre cloth and buff it up afterwards with a dry one. Works a treat. This thread has more suggestions:

I'll add your thread to it later to keep the ideas together.

I use baby wipes. Works very well.0

the other thing is to wipe it over when it's cold - so before it gets switched on0

I use Mr Sheen all-surface polish - keeps it dust free for longer as well as cleaning it easily without streaks.
For the sticky marks, I use a quick spritz of Fairy Power Spray, leave to soak in for 5-10 minutes, rub off with a bit of kitchen roll and wipe it clean with a cloth. I believe baby oil also works well.0
