I bought a spray from kleeneze or betterware can't remember which one offhand , it works a treat on both the laptop and the telly screen cost me £2.99 if my memory serves me correctly . No smears nothing, our dog sits nose on the screen whenever a dog comes on the telly and whine till the dog disappears from screen since spraying this stuff on it it doesn't leave a mark just need to wipe it with microfibre cloth HTH

Ha ha, my dog does that too, not just other dogs though, any animals set him off!

What an amazing forum...It's full of helpful tips and sound advice.

I would be grateful if anyone help with this question

Does anyone know what's the best way to clean a LCD tv?

I heard that you should be careful as some cleaning products can damage the screen and that's the last thing I want... I don't really want to folk out for expensive cleaning for the tv as I'm desperately trying to save money...So I'm wondering if there was a cheaper alternative?

    Many Thanks

I just use a damp cloth. Microfibre is best.

I was given a special cleaning cloth with my tv, but it looked and felt like the ones they give you with new spectacles. you dampen it wipe it over the screen then dry with paper towels. works brilliantly and so do the spectacle cloths! one tip i would pass on is - DONT do it when the screen is warm..........let it cool down or do it BEFORE switching the tv on.
