When you say "moisten" - is that with just water?0 -
Just use a clean damp cloth (water) then wipe over again with a dry cloth. HTH0

I use the cleaning solution and cloth that comes with my glasses on my LCD screen. The cleaning solution is really cheap, but you could probably make it yourself (the main ingredient is Isopropyl Alchohol, but you'd want it to be very diluted).
Water and microfibre cloths, as suggested above, should work for most things though!0 -
We always use windowlene with a J cloth. Even got biro off it when our toddler let loose on it whilst MIL was babysitting and not watching her!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Just done my Sony (very shiny) laptop screen with some huffing and a microfibre* . MUCH better than alcohol wipes. No residue, no scratches

I go over ours very lightly with a microfibre cloth, but only when DH isn't looking, because you're supposed to be very careful with the screen, and only use some kind of special wipe (but I'm not about to pay out for those!)

I have a new lcd tv monitor in house and most are easy to clean but our new tv 40" Samsung with glossy black stand is a pig to get dust off. I have tried a micro fibre duster, micro fibre glove, Mr sheen duster (type on a stick). Also the cloth that came with the Samsung.
It just seems to attract the dust like a magnet and the tv cabinet is bad enough I never had this problem with our old 26" LCD tv another Samsung but in silver
also tried hoover with brush but I reluctant to use that because it may cause scratches0
