Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....
  • Hi Ennuni, welcome along....its been a bit quiet here lately so good to have some more people.

Our planning has been a bit slow last few weeks or so. Did book our Honeymoon last night though so thats one big thing out of the way :)

Also been having quotes for OH wedding ring. As her engagement ring is a irregular shape we have been looking at getting shaped/custom made rings made up but cant believe how expensive they have been! So far we have been quoted anything from £550 (which includes us providing a white gold ring for the metal) to £1,350!!! Way over the budget we had originally set so some serious thinking needed before we get the rings sorted.

Anyone else been up to much planning lately?
Thanks to all that post competitions :)

We made my engagement ring and found it much cheaper, where have you been looking? We were able to specify where the platinum was bought and where the diamonds were from. We got the platinum from New York as the cost to buy there was so much cheaper. Diamond came from Canada due to some decline in cost there too. I would maybe scour the internet a bit more before deciding. However this was 2 years ago, it maybe the cost has risen everywhere.

Well done on the honeymoon, ouch on the ring.
Planning has been slow on this front. I've spent the week playing with cake designs and have cracked one of the recipes (gluten free vegan rich chocolate cake).

    Hi all!

Not been on for a while...

not really done anything further towards the wedding  Because its a low key registry office followed by a party (can't afford anything more :( ) There's not much I can think of to do !

Bridesmaids and suits can't be sorted out yet far too early, and well... thats it! lol

Thanks for all the welcomes. :)

We've only got the hotel booked so far, so we're a lot less organised than most of you!

Hope you get the rings sorted, Goldenshilling - sounds a bit of a nightmare! I think we might have similar issues, so maybe I should start looking sooner rather than later.
