Hi Schofield, pleased the Registrar went ok. The dress is gorgeous, you could try the experts on here to see if if could be found cheaper.
I like the look of the cake (and I'm not showing it to OH,who is currently wanting a gingerbread castle).

You've been busy Dotchas, not much progress here lately - plenty of recipe testing but little else.

Update for me: We have made all our invitations! LOL

Pretty organised but I am starting a new job this September and OH is in her final year of uni and has a 12 week placement ahead so we wanted to spend our time this summer getting them done. Pretty chuffed how they have turned out, and cost us less than £100 when making them professionally was coming in at over £500!

How is everyone else getting on?

Well done on the invites, that is being organised.

As there were no objections when we gave notice (despite me telling everyone how to object and where ;)) we got the certificated back and delivered them to where we’re getting married, who have now confirmed the booking. Reception venue is already sorted.
I finished the work on the ring designs on Monday and got the jewellers agreement this morning, so that’s another item off the list.
I’m reworking the invitation designs to include a motif from the ring design, hopefully that will be finished by the weekend. We won’t be sending invites until February. We have the menus sorted, though still have a couple of recipes to refine and can then timetable the catering.
Herself is away next week, so I’m going to explore the feasibility of the cake designs she would like (gingerbread house style). Meanwhile she is making progress on her dress – or so I’m told, lots of noise from the sewing room and the door is kept firmly shut :)

We have the registry ceremony and music sorted, although they don’t want to hear from us until April.
The photographer I was hoping to get is already booked :( so we need to sort that one and still need to sort the evening entertainment.

The aim is still to have everything sorted or planned by the end of September and it looks likely we’ll make that.

I think I can finally join this thread now. We have set the date for 15th June next year - here's hoping the rest of the planning is easier than that part! Good luck to all other brides to be!
