Woohoo we are booked for 1st June 2013 so can I join in?:j:j:j

Booked the ceremony venue and reception venue in/nearby Gretna Green ,we are using a wedding planner so we have also got a vintage car ,a piper ,photographer and our flowers in the package.

I now need STD magnets , but despite saving designs on the vistaprint website I have not been offered any freebies, just 25% off.:(

    11 months tomorrow:eek:

Congratulations and welcome to the thread - I have added you to the first page :)

Seems like a decent package if you have all that stuff covered under the one basis - definitely good for keeping things simple and stress free!
Saving for our next step up the property ladder

I took the advice of some people on the wedding forum who said to e-mail Vistaprint Customer Service Team asking if there was anything they could do. I e-mailed them saying I had designed some STD Magnets and was interested in using them for all my wedding stationary and asked if they would give me free STD magnets so I could see the quality. Had an e-mail back within an hour offering me 25 free magnets in my design. I took them up on their 25 and since then every e-mail I have from them has an offer for at least 25 free magnets so I have managed to get all my STD for free :)

Eleanora: as regards DJs, as long as you aren't wanting Hungarian folk music or Japanese pop you should be able to give a dj a list of music that you want them to play. They might not be able to get absolutely every one but it will give them an idea of your taste. For various parties I've organised I've also given them a list of songs I absolutely Don't want played!

    Hi folks,
with 353 days to go (says he wondering where the last three months have disappeared to) the progress so far is:

    Arranged
    Legal Wedding Venue
    Handfasting and reception venue
    Handfasting officiants
    My morning dress
    Notice to marry (given yesterday)

    In progress
My lady's dress (she's designing and making it)
    Wedding rings
    Menus
Invitations (designed, not yet printed, to be posted February 2013)
    Handfasting ritual

    Outstanding
Take notice to the Registry Office (different district)
    Transport
    Photographer
    Evening entertainment
    Wedding Cake
(Everything else we've forgotten or haven't thought of)

We spoke to many of our friends to ensure they could make the date that we decided not to do Save The Dates, the jungle drums were quicker than we were :)
  • Just looking into organising our venue decoration and have had a few quotes. The best one we have had so far is for £410 (negotiated down from £490) and is for:
    • 50 Polycotton Chair Covers with Sash
    • Table Runners x 5
    • Top Table Swag
    • Table Crystals
    • Tea Lights/Mirrored Plates and 5 Table Centre Pieces (Fishbowls)
    • Top Table Arrangement to Match Wedding Flowers
    • Light Curtain

Do people think this is a good quote?
Thanks to all that post competitions :)
