In our case its between 21st June and 21st July, we're hoping to make appointment in the last week of June.
Unfortunately the local register office is only open Tuesday and Thursday, my two fixed office days, and both are days when its problematical for OH to get away from her office - guess we're both going to end up booking holiday.
Wow, why do you have to do it so early?? (sorry, April 2013 is really quiet so I have taken to lurking in other months' threads to get my wedding fix!)0 -

Its more a case of why did we have to wait in our opinion
We've got the venue we want booked (civic centre), but its provisional and only held until the 21st July 2012. Given that we have reception venue booked and friends have already booked flights, we don't want anything to fall through at this stage.
We'd have happily given notice earlier if the law allowed.(sorry, April 2013 is really quiet so I have taken to lurking in other months' threads to get my wedding fix!)
I'm lurking in most of the other monthly threads, borrowing ideas and searching for inspiration. - I'm also hoping that we can have the planning complete and most things in place by October (its probably a forlorn hope, but we can try)0 -

Probably not that difficult - I'm April 2013 and it's currently June 2012 and almost everything is sorted - all that's left is actually ordering bridesmaids' dresses (picked them out, but ned all bridesmaids in the same place at the same time before they will order them) and sorting out cars. Everything else is sorted so your timescale doesn't sound too difficult!0 -

TBH I think we have most of it in place now. OH has started work on her dress and told me what I'm wearing;). Subject to registrar's approval we have the ceremony music worked out. I have most of the menu sorted, though some recipes need tweaking (I'm catering)
Due to a fortunate problem at the local registry office we now have an appointment on Monday 2nd July to give notice at a more convenient registry office.
Major outstanding items are photographer - our first choice isn't contactable until late July and evening entertainment apart from the nagging feeling that I've missed something major.0 -

I had a call from our register office today and so we're booked in to give notice on 18th June. HHmmmmm i need to find my full birth certificate now - how do you know it's a full one?Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0

Ah right, thank you. Mine just has parent info on, not place of birth. I'll have to keep hunting.
Just checked
"A short birth certificate only shows the name, date of birth, sex and registration district. A full birth certificate is a copy of the entry in the register, and includes everything shown on a short certificate, but also includes parents' details and the child's place of birth."

So, if yours has parents details, it should be a full one and should show place of birth. Mine is very like this one
(Though I was born a little closer to the date of that one than you were, so there may have been minor changes to the layout/colours)
If you were born after '83 and have used that certificate to get a passport, then it must be a full cert.
