If you were born after '83 and have used that certificate to get a passport, then it must be a full cert.

    :rotfl:I wish!

Thank for the links, there's defo no info on where I was born on the one I have, I'll hunt up in the loft or else i'll have to get a copy. I have my short one, and then this one *puzzled*.

I have my daughter's full one and her's clearly states where she was born, so will keep hunting.

  • Hi fellow brides & grooms

We are getting married 29th June 2013 (seems like a popular date) we have the venue/registrar booked/dress sorted and everything else really just saving the pennies now as we are paying for it all ourselves. The things that are keeping me up at night even though it is a year away are:

1/ seating plan who sits with who? who sits with the 4 odd relatives, how do i seperate old enemies?
2/ if i had every girl that has ever meant anything to me as my bridesmaids i would have at least 15 lol got it down to 4 how do i make the other girls feel just as special? do i need to?
3/ honeymoon we cant really account for it in our budget. should we put it on a credit card then use the money we receive as gifts to pay it off or scrap the idea ll together?
    HELP!!

    Hi 74Jax,
Apologies for taking so long to get back to you, just got back home - My birth certificate, which is a long rectangular one issued in 1963, has the date and place of birth in column 1 (When and where born). OH's which is approx A4, issued in 1971 has the date and place of birth in box 1 (Date and place of birth) under the heading CHILD.
    Hope that may help.

Hi thanks for all your help.

I called up the register office and as long as OH takes his passport he doesn't need the full birth certificate. Had to clarify it with the superintendent?!? there but all was ok.

So we go on Monday at 1. Quite excited as we really don't have anything else to do for the wedding, so it's nice to have something relatively 'big' to do.

  • Cant believe that its just under a year to go now until the big day!! We have been looking round trying to get our chairs covers, table decorations sorted the last few weeks and have had a few quotes just now need to decide who to go with. Our STD magnets turned up from Vistaprint yesterday and have to say we are really happy. Cost us £2.00 something to have 25 delivered to us which I designed. Also just booked an appointment for the 29th of June for us to give notice so nice to get things moving a little bit. Sure the next 12 months will fly by!!
Thanks to all that post competitions :)

I wish giving notice was as easy and good as it sounds! I phoned the registry office to book for a date we are both available next month to be told that my fiance can't give notice at that registry office as he currently lives in southend....because it doesn't fall into the Essex register area :O how can southend not be classed as Essex? We was told we can give notice but would have to be at separate registry offices which neither of us want to do we want to go together after all it's for OUR wedding!!! I told her he would be moving in later in the year when work allows so she said to do it once he has moved in and we have something with his name and this address on! I've never heard anything like it, I got really upset about it!

    Sorry rant over ....

Aw I know it's a pain, but you can wait or do it separately now. I know many people who live in different area's who have to give notice separately in their own area. So don't feel they are singling you out hun.

Even myself and my OH can give notice separately in the same area (we don't have to give it together, if you get me) so that it can fit in with work commitments etc.

    Thanks hun!

We want to do it together so are going to wait! When we went and booked the ceremony they knew then that we lived in different area of Essex and neither of us are local to the registry office we are marrying at either, just told us to ring n book to give our notice and that was that but to now be told Southend isn't an Essex office was the oddest part of it all cos Southend couldn't get much more "Essex" lol

Ah well we will do it later in the year! They have said that our ceremony is still booked and not to worry about it so that bits ok!
