Ha ha, good! I like hearing the stories too!
I proposed to my OH in Central Park in New York, using a video I had animated and a song I had (terribly) sung with a friend. The full story is on the YouTube video ... so I won't repeat it all! Feek free to ask any questions though (I'm sure you will)!

Awww well that was certainly different!! My question is...did your fiancee keep watching and listening to the kazoo's or did she notice you with the ring? lol
Congratulations!
My Fiance proposed christmas morning! We had finished unwrapping the pressies under the tree, we were both pottering around the flat sorting things out and he wandered off into the bedroom. Next thing I know he's shouting out in a panic "Caz quick, come here there's water everywhere there is something wrong with the freezer" (Freezer in the bedroom...kitchen isn't big enough!! lol) So there's me loudly muttering under my breath "oh !!!!!!...this is all i need on christmas day...rant rant ..." I turn into the bedroom and there he was down on one knee, ring box open facing me when he popped the question... of course i said yes...after getting over the shock from one second being worked up about the freezer to the next being engaged!! I asked him why he came up with the freezer idea...his reply... "Well I had to get you in a bad mood first before putting you in a good mood" lmao :rotfl: Love him to bits and wouldn't change him for the world!
Looking forward to reading others stories!
Ill also start something to help us get to know each other better as 74jax said...we have a year of each other to go yet! :rotfl:

Lovely stories, mine is I'd got my OH a weekend to Rome as a surprise. We were walking round trying to find the Trevi Fountain. It was really hot and I wanted a drink but he was adamant we should find this fountain. For one of the largest fountains in the world its very hard to find :rotfl:
Anyway, we found the fountain, sat on the steps leading down to it and the next thing I knew he was down on one knee, in the middle of hundreds of people with a ring he had fashioned out of his Cornett cone:beer:
A bit about us....we live in the north east, have been together 7 years and lived together for the last 2. I work for the Fire Service and he writes computer games. I've one DD aged 14. Oooo and we're Pete and Jacquie.:TForty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -

Seems like a decent enough deal to me caz! If it suits your budget and is a decent venue I would definitely seriously consider that!
Nice to get a bit of background about our june couples since, as you say, we are gonna be here for the next year together :P
I've been with my fiance for 6 years now, engaged New Year of 2011 so just over a year now. We went to Edinburgh for the weekend and I took her down to Princess Gardens as they are done up all pretty at New Year with the lights and all on. Was a really lovely night and nice place to do it I thought and Edinburgh means a lot to us both... Not quite a video or anything mind you ;P We are both still young at 22, but have been together a while now and can't wait to get married and start our lives as af family together.

Awwww another lovely engagement story
doesn't it just fill you with warmth!
We are seriously considering it, I can't think of anywhere else that could provide something near that! Unless anyone can find somewhere in Braintree, Essex that can..?
I had my first freebie email from vistaprint today...I couldn't decide which I liked better for our save the dates so I ordered some designed as business cards and some designed as post cards...all for the price of postage! Then once I ordered I was offered a personalised pen for free (again P&P to pay) so ordered that too for the guest book...it felt very strange writing "Mr & Mrs Mcewan 14th June 2013":jEngaged 25/12/11 :j

im still waiting for a quote for food (family friend) but am planning a afternoon tea aswell caz with little cakes and sandwiches on the 3 teir cake stands and plenty of tea or juice and then a buffet in the evening with a hog roast. what is everyone else getting for their meal? off on holiday next week, off to butlins with the kids, think we must have waited till the worst possible time with the weather lol. just dawned on me that it will prob be our last holiday as just boyfriend and girlfriend (fiance sounds too posh lol) cant wait to say me and my husband. does anyone know what the weather is usually like in june? should it be warmish?“You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.” ― Dr Seuss
