Cheers for the update John, seems a pretty good deal in Moss Bros. We popped in the Cardiff branch about 2 weeks ago and the suits seemed really good quality but there was only the 5 for 4 offer. The 20% off on top seems a good deal. May have to have another look but think I might just gamble and see if I can get a better deal.
Im definitly going to try and haggle the TA off against each other. Thomson gave me a few quotes in store yesterday but from looking last night Ive already found almost the same deal for a good few £100's cheaper per person. Hawaii looks amazing as does Aruba, Mauritius etc but like you say..they are a bit pricey. Cuba still seems the best value at the minute but still early daysThanks to all that post competitions

We went back out on Friday and booked the suits at that price ... found out that deal was ending that day! Saved us a fair chunk, so I'm happy ... won't be too upset when you tell me you've found a 50% off deal ... honest!I'm dropping hints badly for Cape Verde, but who knows what he'll book :rotfl:
Cape Verde looks beautiful too! I keep telling the OH that we're going to have a MSE honeymoon ... weekend in Skeggy. That never goes down well!"The most desirable trait of the internet is the ability to attribute quotes to anyone."

I am on my phone and can't post the link to my dress as the OH is around don't want him to see the picture! It's sincerity 4527! The pic that's online everywhere really doesn't do the dress justice! As son as i tried it on I loved it and didn't want to take it off!! Deposit was paid yesterday and I have my shoes tiara and wrap in my possession! Need the straps altered as I only have small shoulders and the straps on this dress are massive! Lol other than that it's perfect!
My bridesmaids mum (my second mum in my eyes) has told me she has ordered a limo to take me, my mum and my two bridesmaids to the ceremony! How epic!! She has also looked at the dresses we picked and said that Ellie (5 at the time of our wedding) won't get on with the dress and is going to get a dress made for her....I was a little miffed to just be told this as we wanted the same dress for both bridesmaid but then I realised that as long as the colours are white and lilac then does it really matter? Even more so she has offered to pay so ....god I sounded bridezilla then eeek! Sorry!:jEngaged 25/12/11 :j

I found that with my dress too, everyone I show it to I say 'it looks better in real life' :rotfl:

How fab! We're getting married at the hotel, so we'll just be driving there and getting ready there, no need for transport but that's a fantastic idea
and is going to get a dress made for her....I was a little miffed to just be told this
I think you have a right to miffed over this. I hope you're getting to design the dress and not the other way round. Maybe you could take photos of the original dress and use that as a guide so it has similar parts?Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -

Here's hoping
To be honest if I was in the same boat as you I would have taken the deal. I'd much rather get a deal there and then if its a good one rather than waiting round hoping for another deal to maybe come along.I'm dropping hints badly for Cape Verde, but who knows what he'll book
I had a little look at Cape Verde too after seeing your post and have to say that it does look amazing. Problem I seem to be finding is that I would love to go longhaul to Maldives, Mauritius etc but it seems like June isnt the best time to travel to these places due to the weather. Most say that the weather SHOULD be fine but I just feel like if Im spending a LOT of money on a honeymoon I dont really want to take a risk with it.Thanks to all that post competitions

We are having the most untraditional wedding you could get - who else has tug of War on the beach- but when it comes to the honeymoon...... He's paying and choosing. I just can't wait to find out what:rotfl:Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -

All that has been said so far is that she has the pic of the dress we wanted and will match the colours etc..... I don't want to come across ungrateful to her as she is paying so I think I'm just goin to have to accept what is done! Think I just needed to say something to you guys on here to get it off my head a bit!:jEngaged 25/12/11 :j

This is the issue we are also having - spending that amount of cash to go somewhere and it ends up tropical storms for the two weeks! We have considered Mexico as well, and Virgin had a couple of good deals for Barbados, but most of them were room only which was a bit dissapointing.
Really not sure what we will do for honeymoon now to be honest, just trying to get the most exotic place for the cheapest price really but as we are in Scotland we are either restricted to where flights go, or need to pay the extra costs to get down to London in the first place!Saving for our next step up the property ladder0 -
Erm ... would anyone like to see how I proposed to my OH?!"The most desirable trait of the internet is the ability to attribute quotes to anyone."
