I don't know much about computers & website design but I would imagine that the fault that they have probably can't just be instantly fixed. It would probably be more technical than that, although as I said I'm no expert!
I looked on the website mentioned above, the Information Protection Commission, and on there it says that a company has to be given an opportunity to put right anything that's wrong.
I'm not trying to make excuses for Avon but they ARE aware of the problem & I'm sure that they are working to fix it.
The situation they are in is probably as a result of a human error (the bubble bath thing), they have had thousands more orders than usual & I would guess their priority is to try to honour all the genuine orders that people have placed for Christmas.
I certainly wouldn't want to be working at Avon right now!0 -
I'm sure someone from this board made them aware of this 'security glitch' on Monday??
I'm also not a 'technology boffin'!! but surely they should have fixed it by now??.....as for them making progress - surely temporarily 'disabling' the site would show that they are looking into the problem??.0 -

Ditto the above. And I'd have thought that Avon was a big enough organisation to employ boffins who can maintain a website without making this type of error.jonven wrote:Hi can someone PM me also, I'm gettng concerned how people can see my details, just want to know how I can check0 -
