Personally, I'd rather they cancelled my order and removed my details - I've gone off 'AVON' altogether!!0

Maybe they could send me 2 bubble baths as a "sorry" about the lack of security.....“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

Hello
So no bubble bath oh well worth a try, Just had this:
Dear Avon Customer
I am writing to advise you of a technical error that occurred on our
website and affected your recent order.
When you selected your choice of products, the offer for 500ml Avon
Bubble
Bath was clearly stated as £4.00 or ' Buy two choose 2nd free'.
However, when your selection was added to your shopping basket, both
items
appeared as free. This genuine error means that we are unable to
process
your order and I would like to apologise for the inconvenience this
may
cause. The error has now been rectified. If you wish to take advantage
of
the 'buy one get the same one free' bubble bath offer, please go onto
the
website and re-submit your order.
Thank you for your cooperation and may I apologise for the
inconvenience.
Yours sincerely

Received this email this morning,
Thank you again for your order. Your order has shipped by Standard Delivery and you can expect it to arrive within three to five working days up until 6pm.
I ordered 2 shower gels on top of the bubble bath worked out £1.44. Order looks complete so just waiting delivery now, but well chuffed.0 -
By those greedy individuals who went for more than 2. Here is the email I received this morning.

Come on folks, when others let us know about these things DON'T BE GREEDY!!!!!0 -
My order was still saying 'processing' today - even though I had sent them several emails to CANCEL THE ORDER and REMOVE my details! I just rung them up and asked for the order to be cancelled and told him to remove all of my details. He said he would remove my details and send an email to confirm that this had been done. I'll ring again if they haven't done this!!
I told them about their 'security' - he said 'we are now aware of the problem and are looking into it'!! (why can't they just disable the site until they fix it???)0 -
In my opinion, even those who ordered 'just' 2 bottles were greedy. I ordered none: it was clearly a mistake and Avon was justified in cancelling these orders. I love getting a freebie but it's good to be aware that there is always a trade-off of some sort. If the company doesn't benefit in some way then they won't give out freebies. Trying to take advantage of a glitch in the website when you know full well that it is not a promotional offer is akin to stealing the items just because you can. You wouldn't feel justified in walking out of a shop with 2 bottles of bubble bath just because there is no staff at the till or magnetic gates, would you?0

Try posting that on the Tesco Mis-Price Thread.....;) :eek:If we all lived to the rule 'an eye for an eye', the world would be blind...0
