Booo, Northampton only has 10% off mowers, and that makes them more expensive than Argos still.
Garden Power Tools (strimmers, garden vacs etc.) are 20% off but again not really cheap compared to Argos / B&Q etc.0 -
Aidy,
Did they have any of the plant pots reduced? Should i pop in after work? I need a few pots for the garden.Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.0 -
From kingfisher website (B&Q owner) these are the stores being bought by B&Q :
List of stores:
Louth Gainsborough Ashington
Melton Mowbray Goole Consett
Newark Fakenham Malvern
Skegness Sudbury Cardigan
Huntingdon Thetford Ebbw Vale
Spalding Haverhill Pembroke Dock
Buxton Witney Devizes
Uttoxeter Leven Leominster
Harrogate Kendal Stroud
Chard Shepton Mallet
Dorchester Launceston
Subject to regulatory approval etc... will become B&Q's.
I suspect they will still have to sell off the focus stock though, unless some can be absorbed. I suspect it's probably easier to sell it all off and then convert the stores though...
Hope this helps someone... first post!0 -
If anyone comes across box 2 of the neveda 4 gas burner bbq I will be enternally gratefull if you could let me know where.
I have box 1 for £15 which includes the main body, but box 2 has the base and grill, thought it was worth the gamble0 -
On my local news it said that the owner of Range was looking at buying at least 15 stores. They are sorting details and Will be announced next week. Think this will be in the southwest but hopefully good news for staff etc.0

That would be good - the Trowbridge store here isn't on any of the current lists as being bought/taken over by someone else, and would be a real shame to see another unit here empty (we already have B&Q and Wickes here).
Big fan of The Range, the one at Swindon is particularly good - here's hoping someone can help to save some more jobs...Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world!

Is talk/rumours of one in Kingsteignton, not sure if that's closer than Exeter for you.0 -
Evening again one and all. To say its got a bit busy would be an understatement and with Bank Holiday weekend I expect mayhem for the next 3 days. Every store should now have its POS in place to show discounts in different areas. Although some people seem to have forgotten how to behave like humans rather than animals. Anyone who finds it appropriate to assault a member of staff will be dealt with in an appropriate manner. Just because we are closing it don't mean you can suddenly start treating to and talking to staff like c***!!! Enjoy the bargains (yes there are some if you look in the right places) but please remain adults!!Arise Sir Martin Lewis :money:, For services to the Great British public.
