just out of interest does anyone know what farehams going to be? it's right next to wickes and homebase so i doubt b&q would bother, we also have a range down the road in gosport. Just wondering what the heck they are going to do with such a big building it used to be a great mills years ago lol

If its not on one of the 3 lists then as it stands its game over!

I think The Range rumours are our best hope but they only want between 15-40 stores so at best on 25% of the remaining estate but no mention of staff retention.

Fingers crossed for all stores and colleagues.

Sorry to those losing jobs in this sell off.
Is there likely to be anything big going cheap like a Honda lawnmower half price or something. Im thinking the bulky stuff might see the most off maybe, do they literally have to sell everything by Tuesday or it goes to auction?

I got a right bargain today, managed to get a display carron phoenix sink and taps for £112.50 reduced from £449, BARGAIN!

Not sure what you mean about Tuesday. As far I am aware there is no set close date as such yet.

I might take a visit to Focus but not for a few days. I figure the trade price the administrators will take from the likes of B&Q for branded goods will be less than Focus will offer for a while yet.

After weekend 2 it might get interesting.

Having said that what did the idiot lose his temper over? A pack of screws with 20% off or his missing kitchen that he paid £4k for?

Surely for any stores being brought by B&Q or Wicks etc the staff can be tuped to that company
