I spoke to them too and they the cash back has been paid and the money should be in my account but guess what no money.
I tell you if I would never go back to Mobileshop again.
Never seen a company as bad as Mobileshop.com in my experience.0 -
I went with Mobileshop in January last year after searching for a good deal on 12 months free - at that time they had a really good reputation (including on here) and next to no negative comments anywhere on the web. They even have a cashback comments section on their site, though I didn't take that at face value as the incentive of entering a draw for £100 may prompt many to fill it in (a number of the comments seemed to be from people that had not claimed at that stage). Over the year, their reputation seems to have diminished slightly, and they have in my eyes. The positives:
- they have clear instructions
- an extensive online help and support system
- allowed 2 months for claiming (excellent given the short deadlines for others - though MS now seem to have shortened their period as well)
- only wanted 4 claims (now 6!)
- have a really good tracking system (texting and emailing to say that they have received the claim, plus online tracking).
On the negative side, the cashback process is long (ie was 45 days after the expiry of the voucher, not after you had submitted claimed) which they have now extended to 60 days (without asking!), payments invariably take longer than that and when there is a delay (as there was in the summer) they don't let you know (though responsive in customer services, it wouldn't hurt to send another email/text saying there is a delay and when you can now expect payment).
That said, they have paid 2 out of my 3 submitted claims so far (1st with hassle chasing, 2nd straightforward) and I look forward to getting my final 2 payments (sometime mid-2007!). Their T&Cs have changed twice this year, according to their website, including moving to 6 claims and reducing the window to 30 days and now much fewer offers (including many moving to 18 month contracts) - I will therefore probably look elsewhere for my next deals.

Had no problems at all with Mobileshop.
Sure I didn't get all the money from quidco but as my 3 phones have worked out as free, I'm not complaining.
I've always had email notification of my claims being received followed by one confirming date of payment.
The cashback has always arrived - I've no idea whether it was on time or not - I don't care as long as it arrives.
For those who think that Mobileshop is a sinking ship - it certainly won't help by trying to rock it any further by complaining continuously - multiple emails / letters / calls etc
I've had 3 phones without a hitch - the only problem I have with the company is that they no longer seem to be doing any "free" deals.0 -
If you check back on this forum I get the impression at one time the company was doing good.
But now most people here are concerned as they have not received there cash back payments even after the wait of over 60 days.
No one here, I think want this company to go bust, but it seems to be giving out all the wrong signal.
My cash back is over 80 days due now and i have not yet received a penny from them.
If you check other forum too you will see quite a few people have now start complaining about them.0 -

I also received an email today about the Argos vouchers in lieu of cash, however the details in the link (snippet below) make it sound like I'm only due £90 when I am in fact due £150.
"If you do not wish to swap your Cash Back you do not need to do anything - do not proceed through this process and you will still receive your Cash Back payment of £90.00 in 60 days to your bank account."
I have emailed them tonight about this, however methinks something is afoot...
Update. I thought MobileShop paid 5 months worth of cashback at the 5th month, 2 at the 7th, another 2 at the 9th and the final 3 at the 12th month, however I was wrong. They pay 3 months worth of cashback at each claim period, so the £90 in the original message was correct.
Apologies for jumping the gun (hope this clears up my misunderstanding), and hope my £90 now turns up on time.0 -

...and they have sent an email - saying the wife's 3rd cashback will be delayed by yet another week!
This is after they did not make payment at 60 days and we had "reminded" them. The voucher was correctly registered in the online checker. Mobileshop online live help investigated, confirmed and promised payment the following week.
Groundhog Week, nothing changed, back to live online help, through the same routine, same promise, same outcome.
Another week, another online live help consultation, same again but sent the Argos offer to the wife.
We have two phones through MS - I am waiting for my last cashback, we have already despatched and registered the 4th and last one for 'er indoors. Their present very tardy manner and reluctance to honour deals has been a deciding factor in where we went for our next deals.
MS has a lovely process set up - fax in the vouchers, online checker, online live help - all really excellent and the best setup to date - but the whole thing is completely spoiled by their recent change in attitude to their customers.
We have now both decided to vote with our wallets, we've gone to pastures new for our next deals...“When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around.
But when I got to be twenty one, I was astonished at how much he had learned in seven years.”

Ah, the slippery slope you see?
You run into financial difficulties.........so you start stalling on referral/cashback payments and generally pi$$ing off your most important asset.......your customers.
So your loyal customer base votes with their feet..........so your financial problems increase and your customer base shrinks.
The snowball effect.........You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Wayne Gretzky
Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.0 -
I got my cash back today after a one and half a month delay. No problems with them at all.Although cash backs are never smooth whether its osps, cpw ,dap,ms,cnm ,etc. But still they are reliable than other fly by night retailers.0
