It is clear that if everyone claimed their cashback, then a company would not survive. However, to offer cashback contracts, make a big show about it as Mobileshop do (for example, through having cashback feedback on their website from "satisfied" customers to add credibility to the offers) and then start messing people about, leading to dissatisfaction, will affect not only those who would have gone for a cashback deal (12 months or otherwise) but also other people who are searching for information about online retailers before entrusting them with their custom.
I have received 2 payments, await the 3rd (overdue) and final payment due shortly - so long as the final payments come through, I may still consider Mobileshop as I at least understand their process (and they appear to be more reliable than some of the other retailers, as generally they pay up, it just takes them a bit longer to pay up than they said it would).

If you are not bothered about the phone, they have the Nokia 1600 on the higher tariffs at 11 month free/12 month contract (plus Quidco cashback).

Just as an update my Cash back is again over due.
During the 12 month contract they have never ever paid the cash back without being chased.
Good luck to those who takes out a new contract with them0 -

Hence my point about re-evaluating their business model?
I don't understand your original post/flame as you appear to have backtracked on it?
Common sense dictates that if you offer someone a free phone and an effectively free contract for a year, you'll lose money if they make the necessary claims on time and in accordance with your terms and conditions. You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Wayne Gretzky
Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.0 -

Yes, odd that they don't publish the negative comments?
Which means the site undergoes censoring.
Ergo, it shouldn't be trusted.

Where have I backtracked? My point has always been that people seem to believe that all these companies want lots of customers that manage to claim their cashback when 'common sense dictates' they don't.Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0
