"We're just waiting for payment to come through for these, that's the case across the board for July so it is something we're keeping an eye on and it isn't that there is a problem with your transaction specifically.
Hopefully shouldn't be too much longer."
At least they are aware of it and are chasing it up. If it gets paid this month it'll be a good start to the New Year..

my first payment was due in my account 12/01/07. I have finally (after live chatting for update, then calling them when still hadnt appeared) received a cheque for full amount yesterday 25/01/07 (will clear approx 30/01/07) this is 78 days! when i signed up in July 06 it was supposed to be in my account within 30 days, then got a letter saying WITHIN 60 days. Puts me right off doing one of these again and I only hope the stay in business long enough to honour my contract for next 3 payments.are you sitting comfortably?, then I'll begin.....

overdraft was 1500 now 1360 must try harder.
loan was 13705.24 now 9791.62 due to be paid off 01/02/2011 but gonna aim for 01/05/2009!!
amex cc was 4210 now 3650.48 lobt at 4.9% due to be paid off in 01/02/08
total owed was £19415.24 now its £14802.10 going down!!!:money:

just checked my email about my second claim. It said to confirm cashback to click on the link, then it offered me Argos vouchers (£5 more than cashback amount) or a portable DVD player, or keep cashback. BUT you had to click on one of these options! So i have chosen the cashback and then it said are you sure, i said yes then it said:
Thank you my name here,
You have been sent an e-mail confirming your Cash Back Swap.
To Confirm:
Your Cash Back Voucher No: 82765B to the value of £105.00 has not been exchanged for something better.
You will receive your Cash Back within 60 days delivered to your home address. "
Why are they not going to pay directly into account, I guess this means another 78 day wait for the money : (are you sitting comfortably?, then I'll begin.....

You run into financial difficulties.........so you start stalling on referral/cashback payments and generally pi$$ing off your most important asset.......your customers.
So your loyal customer base votes with their feet..........so your financial problems increase and your customer base shrinks.
The snowball effect.........
There seems to be a misconception that those customers that remember to reclaim their cashback are an asset to the company. Given that they will receive a commission from the provider that will not be as much as you will reclaim off them they make a loss on each contract that is successfully reclaimed (add to this any quidco type cashbacks, the phone and admin...)
The business model is that there will be a number of people that just don't remember to reclaim or do it wrongly; some other companies may make it harder to do with overly complicated procedures...
I've had no problems with mobileshop in the past but will probably have to go elsewhere next time as they appear to have stopped the 12month free on 12 month deals which is hardly surprising.Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -
both of mine have gone to received as well. Dare I hope that I'll get paid only 5 months late?0

Then they need to re-evaluate their business model.
I'd disagree about a happy customer not being an asset. As a business, happy customers should be your goal. Studies show that if you're unhappy with a company, you'll tell vastly more people than if you're happy.
You only have to read the (ever-increasing) number of posts regarding MobileShop's delaying tactics since Autumn to witness that..........for example, I wonder how many potential customers they've lost due solely to what has been written on internet forums and Usenet newsgroups.
Likewise, I wonder how many existing customers will go elsewhere when their existing contract expires. I certainly will and you've indicated that you will.....so that's two in a straw poll of two; not good.
If, as a business, your customer base continues to shrink, then you don't tend to survive very long. You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Wayne Gretzky
Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.0 -
feival wrote:Actually they have got some great 11 month free deals on O2 with the Nokia 6070 - go through Quidco and the cashback will cover the twelfth month too!
Thanks for this, I should have looked closer; will go with a 10 month free deal and get a phone with less minutes but peak.
chuckles1066 you missed my point that the company loses out financially when a claim is paid out. A company that has a million cashback contracts that are all claimed will go out of business quickly...Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0
