It's wonderful as a study in how we've "never had it so good" when all people have to do with their lives is moan about the most petty issues.

Alas some just can not help but be drawn to going round in circles.

    Maybe you'll get dizzy :)

I certainly dont get what wind chimes have to do with passive smoking. Or why they were brought up ?!?!?!?!?

I missed that one, guess if they're noisy there's a chance people will not chose to stand right next to them?

As a deterrent to people smoking near your property, the noise apparantly drives smokers mad. It's a kind of allergy which smokers have, they can't stand windchimes. They go into a kind of St Vitus dance when they hear them. Drives 'em potty, honestly. You stand near windchimes sometime and watch.

Ahh like the youth sonar things!? Guess there must be a limit like smoke more than 20 a day. I like windchimes, got one, though its normally drowned out by the waterfall (little one into pond) and the m6 and the trainline and the local yobs

Sounds like you live in the centre of a great cultural oasis, I'm jealous.

I wonder can you fit wind chimes with a PIR? (I still say anti-personnel mines would be more effective).

I just love this thread! The government must be clapping their hands with glee that their seriously over the top tirade against smokers has worked for the majority of people.

Just wait until all you drinkers out there are subjected to the same bombardment - believe me it's coming!

There's nothing worse than standing next to a fat person noisily munching on a pie. I think it should be banned.

They do cost us a fortune to be fair. Fortunately they're hoping to stop them getting Dissability benefits though just for being obese.
