Frustrated with my diet at the moment, seem to be struggling to get back on low GI. I may try slimming world as I have never really given it a proper go. Anyone had success with that?

Julie - I do SW (albeit halfheartedly at times!) and find it really works for me. The SW thread on the Health & Beauty board is useful and friendly.

    tiredmum - awww

bitsy - ((((hugs)))) for you all and Daisy

NPM - at your boss!

Well my day wasn't quite what I'd planned! This will make you all laugh....I couldn't find my black bra this morning then had mass panic when I realised I must have left it somewhere in work after getting changed there before our night out on Friday  :rotfl:. I had to get to work before any of the boys to try find it! :rotfl: So I was in at 7.50am, luckily it was in the ladies loo, along with my top from that afternoon :o.

Then I had phone call from colleague who I was meant to be working with today to say he had put his back out so wouldn't be in so could I run his group of work kids. I had to pop to my uni as the tutor forgot to get us to sign forms so had emailed them to me, so didn't go collect the minibus as it was opposite end of town, which meant I had to take my car instead. His work kids worked very well today though, got lots of the qualification done, and ended the day by making towers out of spaghetti and marshmallows :D.

I also think I've done something to my ear :( it's the side I have my vertigo on. I blew my nose this morning and something popped  been hurting and muffley all day. Will go to Docs later in week if still bad.

Anywho, no plans for tonight. Will check that toyboy has survived rugby tour but doubt he will be awake enough to entertain me!

OS wise - bins taken out, DW been on, will probably make veggie spag bol for tea and have some for lunch tomorrow.

    Have a good evening all

Should have been £50 but got it for £20 so very pleased. Even picky DD seems to like them.

The sooner you are out of that place, physically, mentally and emotionally - the better. That phone call today proves you are doing the right thing.

    Evening All,

It is blowing a gale out there, fallen and broken trees everywhere

Hugs for Bitsy and your family, I am heartbroken for your mum's wee cat. xxx

Might be back later, I am up to my eyes in housework as usual. :(

Bitsy - so sorry to hear the news on Daisy's condition. Heartbreaking for you all.
NPM - I'm not sure your boss should have called you at all - I remember being warned by HR not to call staff who were ill as it could be interpreted as harassment.
JackieO - your sentiments re the injunction controversy are spot on!
Managed to get towels done this afternoon, and picked DS up from the station.
Hope you all have a good evening.

My mums been round. Vet has rung. He thinks Daisy might have neurological damage. They've tried getting her on her legs but she can't co ordinate them :( he's going to assess tomorrow but think euthanasia is probably her only option. Me and mum have had a cry (and am having another as I type this :o) my dad has taken this really hard as she was his cat. Dreading having to tell the kids as I don't want to get upset so might get H to do the explaining.

Awww bless you all, maybe worth hanging on till you hear what the vet says tomorrow before telling the kids, I am hoping a miracle hapens overnight xx
