butterfly brain thank you for the link for the coffee pot user guide it looks almost the same and I am going to give it a go shortly.
Just got back from getting the last essential shopping for this month I am really pleased that I have by using up some of my store cupboards stuff and bits from the freezer and downright cannynessI have managed to almost halve my budget for this month.
last night just as I was leaving my DD had a few lft over roasties that wern't enough for to add to tonights dinner so she said if I didn't want them then probably the dog would have them .Needless to say they came home with me along with sonme left over mixed veg.I shall add them to my two lamb chops that I have got out of the freezer and thats tonights dinner sorted.Nowt goes in a dog if at all possible to recycle it into me:)
School run this morning then banking and a bit of shopping (only stuff off my essential list though) Line of washing dancing away at the moment in the breeze and that will be ironed by tonight .One side effect of not going out to the shops so much is I seem to get more things done indoors than I used to.:):)
Big brother David flew back to France today and he said he will ring me as soon as he's back home again.it was great seeing him last week.My niece is coming over for a month from Mexico City where she lives next month so I am looking forward to seeing her as well. This afternoon I am going to make some small iced cakes as DGS Ben will no doubt 'drop in to say hello' on his way home from school (he knows I like to bake on Mondays he's no ones fool that lad:))
Son-in-law Simon will find out about his job prospects this Wednesday ,blooming cross when I watched the local news and they said that the KCC is paying someone £3.300 per week to sort out the education system in Kent (buy they are putting 1500 workers on the scrap heap to help pay for this Grr
Hope everyone is having a good Monday and you all get your washing dry O.K.
Cheers Chums

We didn't know either - beginning to think I'd have to join twitter!
Good day today. I gave myself three tasks that had to be done last night, and all three were finished by 10am. Have even done few other jobs as well, plus the gym, plus long doggie walk with DH. Can now sit on my a$$$ for the rest of the day!!! HM soup for lunch, sweet and sour pork for supper.
So sorry to hear about the blind kitty - I think you're right tho', it would learn to adapt.
Right, off to find library book to read now!Resolution:

Afternoon all,
Only 4 at knitting group this morning, very windy, branches down all over the place, so maybe people a bit nervous of driving.
DD3 clearing out her food cupboards this morning so I have gained 3 large bags of food...some I wouldn't normally buy but it will all stretch out the stuff I have here. She is moving in here to-night until Thursday morning when she is off at he ungodly hour of 7.30 am...so due in airport for 5.30....an hour to Heathrow, 4 hours there then off to Kuala Lumpur and finally Perth by Saturday afternoon local time. Feeling the loss already but will try to keep it out of my voice and face.....
Dinner to-night will be left over beef from yesterday, with whatever veg and spuds, left over crumble and cream to finish.
Drying the wash inside these days as have no wish to chase it over the fields.
Council is finally doing a job on road outside our gate and further up....local traffic only for a week, hope they do it properly!
Hugs to all in need or want of one, enjoy your holiday anyone who is heading off anywhere, stay safe.

My mums been round. Vet has rung. He thinks Daisy might have neurological damage. They've tried getting her on her legs but she can't co ordinate them
he's going to assess tomorrow but think euthanasia is probably her only option. Me and mum have had a cry (and am having another as I type this
) my dad has taken this really hard as she was his cat. Dreading having to tell the kids as I don't want to get upset so might get H to do the explaining.

I love your last sentence too! :rotfl: I have even more contempt for people who think they can buy the law than I do for the alleged behaviour- big headed, self important git that he seems to be.

So glad you are able to focus on Noah without the pressure of unsympathetic work attitudes and hope you can feel less stressed soon.
Tired mum
The story was lovely and the teacher's comments even lovlier. Well done to your son and you.
Woke up with "pink eye" and DH went out to chemist for me to get some eye ointment. Feel a bit better now I have bathed the eye and treated it so taking it easy and waiting in for electrician to fix DDs bathroom light etc. Hope I have stopped blinking my left eye by time he arrives or he could get the wrong impression and run for the hills.
Our rotary drier broke in two yesterday so had to dash to tesco to buy a new one , found one half price so only paid around £15 and it is now in garden. Suddenly started raining heavily and really windy so not venturing out in that.
No idea what to make for tea - depends if it stops raining and I can dash out to freezer in garage or else to shop. Might just do bratwurstinnabun and home made potato salad or a frittata with something like packet pasta for anyone turning up their nose.
I can't keep up with who likes what and have decided to just make what I feel like and they can eat it or not. In a family of five people (sometimes six) we have at least one person at any time who "doesn't eat"
Beef
lamb
pork
salad
spicy stuff
bland stuff
pasta
rice
potatoes
Wonder if I still have stuffing mix in cupboard
Going for a cup of tea and bite to eat downstairs as have not had lunch yet so see you all later.

JackieO you gave me a chuckle too. Who cares about yet another overpayed, jumped up moron thinking that he can get away with anything because he is rich and famous.
If you live in the public eye, you should live accordingly and not try to hush it up when you are caught with your trousers down.

!!!!!! my boss just rang to see why I wasnt at work:eek:. I rang in sick last weekend and then send 3 week sick note in after seeing GP on Weds so I assumed they would know why I wasnt there...grrrrr had a total panic attack...my heart was pounding.
I need some help with my notice letter:o I want to post it tomorrow. Can I put in it that I want my 4 week notice to start on Mon 30th May or does my notice period automatically start on the day they receive the letter? Trouble is I dont know when they will receive it? Or is my 4 week notice commenced on the date I wrote the letter?
Should I just date it tomorrow and then tell them my leaving date ( 4 weeks after that)
Bitsy so sorry about the poor cat:o0
